Secretary General
Palestinian Federation of Baseball & Softball
PS
Somehow, every one of us is Beautiful

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Words from the President of the Federation, Mr. Ahmad Tafesh:

"I am proud to be a soldier in this great federation… the Palestinian Federation of Baseball and Softball." ⚾🇵🇸

A federation born out of challenges, carving its path through stone with a resolve that knows no impossible—setting a clear goal ahead: to bring Palestinian baseball and softball to the global stage and raise the name of Palestine high in every arena.

We are not merely building a team… we are building generations. Those trained yesterday are the coaches of today, spreading Baseball5 across clubs, centers, and camps, transforming it into a popular Palestinian sport. ✨

Through this, we revive our heritage, recalling the traditional game of "Radi - Madi" with its community spirit, turning our athletic roots into a bridge toward the future.

My deepest gratitude to everyone who believed in our vision from the start. You proved that sincere determination achieves the impossible.

Today, we take pride in winning the gold medal at the 2025 West Asia Baseball Cup in Iran 🥇—becoming one of Palestine's most active sports federations despite scarce resources and zero financial support.

We did not stop… we did not tire. Powered by our loyal people, we know sports are not just a game, but a message, a ray of hope, and a way of life.

Despite the pain and harsh conditions our people endure in Gaza, we continue forward to bring smiles to our children and hope to our next generation. 🕊️

We want to tell the world:
Gaza is not just pain… Gaza is life.
Gaza is not just wounds… Gaza is hope.
Gaza deserves life, safety, and stability.

From the fields of Gaza, beneath the rubble, and from the heart of suffering, we keep building the dream. We will persevere, develop, compete, and raise the Palestinian flag everywhere. 🇵🇸❤️

Palestinian Federation of Baseball and Softball
From Gaza to the World… through willpower, we forge the path.

Palestine defeats Sri Lanka in group play finale

Undefeated in group play, Palestine looks to make history at West Asia Baseball Cup

The offense followed short stop Syam Lafi’s lead. He set the tone with a lead-off double. His teammates would add three hits and score 4 runs in the first inning before never looking back. Four different batters drove in at least 2 runs—Yunis Haleem, Dylan Ahmad, Yousef Abbasi and Charles Haddad.

Sri Lanka kept the game close for a majority of the matchup, but Palestine pulled away in the 7th and 8th innings. The loss will most likely end Sri Lanka’s chances of making it to the playoff round, while Palestine presumably locked in the number one overall seed.

Starting pitcher Omar Shabluq settled in and didn’t allow another run after the first inning. He pitched a total of 4 1/3 innings before being relieved by Paul Baba in the 5th with a 5-3 lead.

Baba completely shutdown Sri Lanka during his 2 2/3 innings. He didn’t allow a hit or a walk and struck out 3 batters before Patrick Khoury entered the game to pitch the final 2 innings. Khoury struck out three batters in his pitching debut for Palestine.

Most likely, Iran is up next in the semi final round but we will confirm the playoff schedule as soon as it’s announced.
