Did you know that you do NOT have to burn off calories from the food you ate?

Your body needs food to keep you alive. Yes, sometimes we overindulge here & there but that does NOT mean you have to punish yourself & 'burn it off'.

I exercise because;
🧘🏻‍♀️ I love & respect my body
🧘🏻‍♀️ I love to see what I'm capable of
🧘🏻‍♀️ to become stronger
🧘🏻‍♀️ for mental health
🧘🏻‍♀️ for long-term health

My list can go on & on. But, I never exercise to 'burn off food'. In fact, I rarely check how many calories I've burnt during sessions 🤌🏻

Why do you exercise? 👟🚴🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♂️

A LETTER TO MY BODY 💛

I'm sorry for the times I thought you weren't worthy.
I'm sorry for the times I got caught up on your "flaws".

I know that you're perfect just the way you are - quirks, rolls, bumps, scars and all.
I will never try change you again.
I will never be dissatisfied with who you are.
I am so grateful that you are my body, and for all the things you do for me.

I love you entirely.
💛 Michelle

Afrikaans word of the day - Bushveld TV
*Refers to a camp fire which can be looked at or be mesmerized by it 🔥
The song says "turn on the Bushveld TV" meaning: " lite the fire"

A little bit more about me…

I am a 23 year old living in Gauteng. I love cooking and baking and eating everything I make. I have a very big sweet tooth 🍫🍰🍦. I love all things Peanut butter and I believe that Cinnamon goes with everything! My favourite take-out is Sushi and I have to admit I am not a fan of bacon at all 🙈

I have completed 2 half-marathons and I am planning to do one next year again! 🏃🏼‍♀️At the moment I love strength training and my view on weights vs cardio has completely changed thanks to @bianca_balanced and @the_lean_girl .

I started this page initially as a student back in 2017 to keep me accountable on my healthy and fitness journey, but it has changed so much since then. My outlook on exercise has completely changes (very proud @monique.fit minion) and the way I view ‘healthy’ food and food in general has completely changed. This page has become much more to me, it keeps me motivated and inspired to following girls on similar journeys. This page has also connected me with such a lot of great people.

Currently I am doing my Nutrition Diploma and hope to share some of the amazing thigs I have learned thus far from you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

So now you know a bit more about me, please leave a comment or ask a question if you want. Always love connecting with people on this platform. 💛🌻
