Referencing the style of Black jazz musicians and Ivy League students of the 1950s and 60s, the #DiorTears capsule guest designed by @DenimTears as part of the #DiorMenFall 2023 by @MrKimJones collection is an ode to the creativity resulting from cultural cross-fertilization. The musicians, in particular, who traversed the Atlantic were both inspired by Paris and inspired Paris. Here, preppy meets the origins of ‘cool’ via the world of work in interpretations of prototypical American garments combining the sartorial sleekness of classic overcoats with specially developed jacquards, sportswear embroideries and irresistible color accents. The models are pictured outside the @GrandEgyptianMuseum in Giza where last Friday’s presentation took place.
