Transport both your family and chosen family to @thefleatheater for an evening with @theillustriousblacks in their new show, “Beyond the Stardust.” If you had the privilege to attend their burn the house down party at @honchopgh this year, you’re already aware of their powerful magic, looks, and theatrics, but this is a whole ‘nother experience! Featuring a beautiful cast of aerialists and vocalists in an art-filled theater, they present a vision for a Boldly Black and Liberated Queer Future. This was a very special night of reconciliation, healing, and pleasure. 🪩🛸💃🏾

As summer comes to a close, we look back on Pride month 2026, some 10 years since the first Pride March we filmed with Leilah. In spiral storytelling, themes emerge and re-emerge over long periods of time, and as we move into post production, we’re drawing out the major themes of the story we’re telling, one is which is pride!

We had a great time at @icaboston for @babiryesculptor ‘s beautiful show Embaga ya Naki ne Naki (Wedding of Naki and Naki), set up as a queer wedding and celebration. Leilah also took us to a lovely Ugandan lunch at Rhino’s in Waltham. Congrats Leilah!

★ ★ ★ POST GAME REPORT ★ ★ ★ Well folks, the party may be long over, but legend has it we’re still out there somewhere, flapping along in the breezeway. 🫠🫧🫯 Some sources say we may never make it back from the cloudline after this last go around, so for now, we’re officially calling it (with this here unofficial wrap-up), cobbled together from all the choice fragments we’ve seen adrift in the gale.
