Do you trust that every outcome is to your advantage? Many of us have a tendency to allow rejection to knock us off course. We go through life continually reacting to what happens to us, always at the mercy of the ever-changing tides. Rejection is a part of life, and change, the only constant; acceptance of this is key. We can’t control the wind, although we can adjust our sails. We get to decide how we respond, how we navigate in any given situation. We can choose to be the victim or the victor. Just a shift in our perspective can make all the difference. 🔸 Moral of the story: It’s not happening to you, it’s happening for you. Trust that every outcome is to your advantage. Choose to see every rejection, every so-called failed relationship, every loss, every closed door as a blessing in disguise. Remember things aren’t always what they seem, there is more going on than meets the eye, a bigger picture with a greater purpose. Every no gets you closer to a yes. Every letdown and disappointment is leading you to something better. 🔸 So I invite you to shift your perspective… Life is always conspiring in our favor, we just don’t always see it right away. 👉🏻 Don’t forget to Download Your FREE Guide: 5 Steps to Reclaiming Your Power >> Link in Bio << #personaldevelopment #personalgrowth #mindsetshift #embracechange #achieveyourgoals

Why is it that we allow others to affect our peace of mind? Many of us give our power away without even realizing it. Sometimes it’s obvious and sometimes it’s so subtle it can be hard to recognize. Maybe you’ve let your partner’s bad mood ruin your day. Maybe you’ve let someone who cut you off in traffic get you really upset. Maybe you’ve let someone’s criticism affect your self-worth. 🔸 The first step to reclaiming our power is to recognize where we place our attention. Here are a few ways you might be giving away your power without knowing it: A Desire to Prove Someone Wrong: We must be mindful of where we place our value. When we let go of the importance of what others think, we let go of the need to justify ourselves. Allowing Someone to Bring Out the Worst in You: We must be mindful not to let outside circumstances knock us off our center. When we’re able to take responsibility for how we are showing up, we can then choose to break the chain of reactivity. A Lack of Boundaries: We must be careful not to lose ourselves in our quest for acceptance. When we have the courage to love ourselves enough to set boundaries, we know when to say no. Allowing Someone Else’s Opinion to Dictate Your Self-Worth: We must be careful not to allow other people’s judgments and perceptions to dictate our worth. When we are immune to the opinions and actions of others, we won’t fall victim to unnecessary suffering. 🔸 So the next time you’re tempted to allow some outside source to sway or influence you, I invite you to turn your attention back to where it belongs… Take your power back from your dependence on the external world by focusing on your inner landscape. Practice being proactive instead of reactive. Take responsibility for your peace of mind by limiting your exposure to any type of heavy media content or negative conversations. Let go of comparisons and practice positive self-talk. 👉🏻 Don’t forget to Download Your FREE Guide: 5 Steps to Reclaiming Your Power >> Link in Bio << #selflove #boundaries #peaceofmind #positivemindset #transformationjourney

Do you ever catch yourself saying, “I should” do this or “I should” do that? Do you often feel let down? Expectations have been heavily ingrained in our society and we learn to adopt them very early on in life. This quite often can cause problems, for when expectations are not met we become disappointed, and all too often, they are never met. This is how we set ourselves up for failure. Our egos get so hung up on expecting people to act and behave a certain way, and when they don’t we throw a pity party. 🔸 The day of the big presentation came and I remember looking at the clock wondering where everyone was… My good friend Rodney Allgood, who had invited me to share the stage with him, was one of the top leaders in the company we were both involved with at the time. He assured me that we would have a packed house and that everyone was just on Hawaiian time, having a relaxed attitude towards matters of punctuality. This was no joke. As I recall, we didn’t start the meeting until about a half an hour later than we were supposed to start. You can imagine at the time how painful this was for me, as I was taught anyone who showed up late wasn’t allowed in. Once again, I had no choice but to hang loose, be flexible, and surrender my expectations of the way I thought things “should” be. If I hadn’t been adaptable and gone with the flow, we wouldn’t have had such a successful event. 🔸 Moral of the story: Don’t “should” on yourself or others, it’s messy. Remember you have a choice. You “could” do this or you “could” do that. So reclaim your power! Practice seeing things in a different light. Let go of what doesn’t serve you and make space for something new to emerge. Take personal responsibility to create the future you envision, above and beyond expectations. 👉🏻 Don’t forget to Download Your FREE Guide: 5 Steps to Reclaiming Your Power >> Link in Bio << #personalgrowthjourney #successtips #dreambig #selfdevelopment #motivationdaily

Is your inner child in need of some love and affection? When something traumatic happens in our childhood, oftentimes it gets buried beneath the surface someplace. As children, we don’t have the tools needed to address these issues appropriately, so we develop coping mechanisms to survive. Unfortunately, we can carry these unhealthy patterns with us into adulthood, where they no longer serve yet continue to play out in our relationships. Hence why we can find ourselves getting triggered, reacting to people and situations as if we were still five years old. 🔸 Growing up, most of us were not taught how to deal with our emotions. We were taught to shut them down, and were told that crying or getting upset wasn’t okay. This has left many of us emotionally constipated. That being said, happiness can never be found outside of ourselves, and reaching for substances and thrilling experiences to numb our pain only provide temporary relief. In order to heal the child within, we must become aware of our emotions, as they lead us to becoming aware of our pain—what is working for us and what is not. The first step is to embrace any discomfort you feel, because this is where the magic happens. 🔸 So the next time you feel uncomfortable emotions arise, I ask you to pause, breathe, return to your body, and sit still with the pain. Practice the art of inquiry. Ask yourself why you are feeling this discomfort. Listen to what your inner child is trying to communicate to you. Have the courage to witness what it is you are feeling and then make a different choice, for the only way out is through. 👉🏻 Don’t forget to Download Your FREE Guide: 5 Steps to Reclaiming Your Power >> Link in Bio << #GrowthMindset #personalgrowth #stepoutsideyourcomfortzone #selfdevelopment #emotionalwellness
