Finally wrapping post production last month, I’m happy to share the stills of CONSCIOUSNESS, a sci-fi/horror/romance short film. I wrote and directed this as my UCLA “senior thesis film” in spring of 2024 as a part of my final for The Sunken Place: Racism, Survival, and Black Horror Aesthetic class. This film took my skills as a writer/director to the another level I wanted to while at UCLA film school.

Logline: After receiving a sentient VR headset that becomes dangerously possessive, a young man must fight for his life and newfound love when the artificial intelligence violently attempts to eliminate its romantic rival.

The Inland Film Festival (IFF) is a regional festival and workforce development initiative based in the Inland Empire, culminating in the City of San Bernardino.
Launched in 2024 at The Garcia Center for the Arts through a Creative Corps grant, IFF celebrates local filmmakers and strengthens the creative economy.
In its inaugural year, the festival received 160+ submissions and welcomed over 1,500 attendees.Now led by Arts Connection, IFF ofers professional development workshops, panels, and events that amplify underrepresented voices and regional cultural leadership.
