“The Jaali Balustrades”

A contemporary interpretation of the traditional jaali, reimagined as a sculptural balustrade. Different patterns, textures, and earthy tones of breeze blocks create a rhythmic composition, bringing together craft, light, ventilation, and material expression within a functional architectural element.

“The Jaali Chandelier”

Bespoke Jaali chandelier and suspended lighting installation, developed by reinterpreting hexagonal terracotta breeze bricks as individual lighting modules. Traditionally used as architectural screens for ventilation, the breeze brick is transformed here into a three-dimensional luminous element.

Lights, levels, and layered connections.

This 2700 sqft residence sits gently on a 12.5 cent contour plot, oriented to respond to the site’s natural slope. At its core, two generous cutouts above the living and dining spaces bring in daylight and vertical connectivity. The dining and family living spaces open up to serene courtyard views, blurring boundaries between indoors and nature—creating a calm, connected living experience.
