2021 JUNIE’S GIRLS RECAP

✨ FIVE YEARS AGO ✨

Five years ago, I stepped into something I never could have fully imagined.

On October 1, 2021, I became the owner of Junie’s Closet.

And while the name stayed the same, everything became a little bit “new.” 💕

New dreams.
New ideas.
New traditions.
New faces.
New memories.
And a whole lot of organized chaos. 😂

But five years later, one thing has never changed:

Junie’s is about so much more than clothes.

It’s about confidence.
It’s about kindness.
It’s about community.
It’s about the girl who walks in needing a little encouragement and walks out feeling like she can take on the world.

It’s about our Junie’s Girls — the employees, customers, friends, families, and women who have made this little boutique into something so much bigger than a store.

I am incredibly grateful that five years ago, I got to become the next chapter of a story that started long before me. And I’m even more grateful for every person who has been part of the story since.

This week has me feeling so nostalgic…💕✨

Around this time last year, I was getting ready for one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life at Miss Oklahoma’s Teen. It’s hard to believe an entire year has passed since MOKT Week and all of the memories that came with it!

Looking back through these photos, I’m reminded of how special that week truly was. The friendships, the laughter, the lessons learned, the excitement backstage, and the moments that made me grow both on and off the stage are memories I will always cherish. It was a week that pushed me out of my comfort zone, helped me gain confidence, and introduced me to some incredible people!

While I won’t be at state this year, my heart is definitely there. Watching everyone prepare has brought back so many memories, and I’m so excited to follow along and cheer on all of the amazing young women competing this week!

To every contestant: soak in every moment. Take the pictures, make the memories, meet new friends, and enjoy the experience. The week goes by so much faster than you think, and before you know it, you’ll be looking back on it with the same gratitude and nostalgia.

No matter what happens, be proud of yourselves for the work, dedication, and courage it took to get there. Stay humble, support one another, and enjoy every second of this incredible opportunity.

Wishing the best of luck to all of this year’s contestants. I can’t wait to see all that you accomplish, and I hope this week becomes a memory you’ll treasure forever!!! 👑✨
