The Black Ripstop Leisure Shirt…

Ripstop is a little bit rogue for us, but something we feel bridges the gap between contemporary and classic. A fabric which has been used for donkey’s years and sets the backdrop for a utilitarian take on our Leisure shirt.

The organic ripstop from Brisbane Moss acts as a great top layer for the autumn or a mid layer in the colder months. This shirt was Albert’s baby and originally started out to fill a gap in his wardrobe about 18 months ago - so we thought it was about time to share it.

The Cromford Button Down Shirt…

Cut from a midweight brushed cotton flannel, this version of our button down shares a likeness with our Explorer shirt. Featuring all the usual details and two flapped chest pockets.

As you might’ve noticed with The Wirksworth and Matlock, this trifecta of checks are an ode to our trip to the peaks - Channeling their namesake through rich earthy tones reflective of the countryside.

Jake wears the Navy Flannel CPO Shirt…

Our take on the CPO - crafted from a brushed cotton flannel - is a nod to the past. It’s not a direct copy, instead it is inspired by our favorite details without any compromise on fit or quality.

A step up in luxury and style compared to its vintage counterpart: cut with a slightly shallower hem than our classic button down so as to be worn tucked or untucked, as well as utilizing our new(ish) semi spread collar.

SULA

Fresh from collaborating with John Simons and Giacomo Smith on the atmospheric Ivy Blues, London trio SULA are quickly establishing themselves at the forefront of London’s emerging contemporary jazz scene. Formed recently through London’s thriving Trinity Laban and Tomorrow’s Warriors jazz communities, SULA brings together pianist Kezia Abuoma, bassist Aleks Dimitrova and drummer Miranda Radford.

Drawing on a rich blend of jazz, soul and improvisational traditions, the group balance technical skill with warmth and accessibility, creating music that feels both rooted and forward-looking, in keeping with the modernist approach which has informed John Simons’ selections throughout the years.

Recent appearances have included a performance at Blue Note London, where SULA supported acclaimed vocalist Zara McFarlane as part of the Tomorrow’s Warriors programme, a fitting platform for a group representing the next generation of British jazz talent.

To accompany their work with John Simons, SULA have also curated a playlist that reflects the influences and musical discoveries that continue to shape their evolving identity. The result is a compelling snapshot of a group finding their voice while remaining deeply connected to the artists and traditions that inspire them.

The Farrier Shirt in Black Denim.

Our take on the classic western shirt. We’ve done the Pearl Snap shirt and we love it, but we wanted to reimagine it in a more Jake’s fashion. A bit less cowboy, a bit more Farrier.

Crafted from a lightweight Thomas Mason denim, the Farrier shirt needs no breaking in or shrink to fit. We’ve taken the hard work out of it so you can enjoy this shirt from day dot.

The Green Denim Farrier Shirt

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a thousand times. This Thomas Mason denim is unreal. Super soft to the touch and bags of character.

Cut in a slightly more unusual sage green, this example of the Farrier shirt has a touch of Western charm but remains in keeping with its surroundings.

The Matlock Button Down Shirt

Needless to say, this check is one of our favorites from the new collection. Brisbane Moss delivering another excellent tonal check which lends itself so well to both casual and dressy looks.

And of course, you know we love a big pocket so it only seemed right to add two uncompromising flapped chest pockets to our standard button down model. All of other classic and recognisable details remain the same, resulting in a super versatile addition to any wardrobe.

Alex wears the Hickory brown CPO Shirt…

Cut using a buttery soft 100% cotton flannel fabric which is equally at home up a fell as it is in the city.

Use it as a top shirt through autumn and a cosy underlayer through winter. This isn’t your average brown shirt, it has a rich melange of deep tones of rust and peat.

Albert wears the Sand Denim Farrier Shirt.

An updated version of our Pearl Snap shirts: The button-through Farrier Shirt. Cut on our button down block for a traditional full fit, sporting western yokes on front and back, it should be seen as a more contemporary and elegant take on what is otherwise a rugged garment.

The Cloth is from Thomas Masons “old school” bunch. a lightweight denim that feels like you’ve owned it forever due to its soft yet crisp handle.

Olive Ripstop - Jungle Shirt.

The next in our trio of Ripstop shirts draws inspiration from Jungle jackets of the 60s, but is by no means a like-for-like version, rather a distant cousin. We wanted to create something which combines elements from our other offerings - including the pockets from our Travel Shirt, placket from our Leisure Shirt and hem shape from our Work Shirts - but remains in keeping with the nature of the Ripstop fabric. Traditionally you would’ve seen a lighter ‘poplin’ Ripstop on it’s vintage counterpart, but the midweight version we have chosen to use from Brisbane Moss makes for a really great transitional jacket, whilst still being something you can layer with.
