My latest 🤓 research-led #ArtistResidency at Atelier 11 (Cité Falguière) with @lairarts has been a real turning point 💙
It has shifted my sculpture and installation practice toward time-based work, treating material and process as a living body 🌱

My research into the 🧠 #neuroscience of #LanguageLearning 🗣️ has also reframed my ongoing investigation of invisible natural forces and language as questions of power: #fire 🔥, an element I use to make my work, acts as a kind of universal language, transforming human life through survival, technique, and communication. Language, too, is an invisible force that strengthens human communities for survival.

One key takeaway from this research was how neural pathways form in the brain 🧠 , which led me to think differently about “#trace”🫆 From creative decisions to production and installation methods, each choice leaves a trace - shaped by fire, movement, experience, iteration, and adaptation.

Thanks to the residency, I was able to research through 📖reading, hosting events (like the 💬 poetry gathering!), open studio, and private studio visits for different institutions:

🏫 Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture
🏛️ Les Amis des musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie
🏠 Yishu8
🏫 Parsons Paris — Art, Media, and Technology

It was lovely to share the studio with @evangelia_nt 💙 where later we realised that our practices speak to each other through the gesture of the hand 🤲 and our work compliment each other through “留白” (blankness that completes through imagination) 🤍

And all the wonderful meals🥘🥗🥟🍚, ranging from French and Greek to Eastern European and Asian - feasts for the mind and the stomach 😋

Merci Mila for inviting me and for your constant support💪, and Léna for coordinating everything and making sure we had what we needed 😘

Thank you to everyone who visited and became 📜 part of the living history of this 150-year-old atelier, which once housed 🧑‍🎨internationally renowned artists like Modigliani, Soutine, Foujita, and more 😘😘😘

I’m now looking forward to my time at ✨ @les_ateliers_wonder , to see how it will extend my research and continue to shape my practice 🌈
