burrowing in the heat we fly to faraway green lands on top of the marsh dragon’s home eagerly playing to its quivering pulse For the first time we sail out of old blighty, into the beautiful lands of Slovenia. We’ve been kindly welcomed to by the @kolektiv_divadlo , an incredible community art space. Situated on the hill of Ljubljana castle with a view overlooking the city. We cannot wait to play chess with the new puzzled faces in this whimsical space. Here ye here ye! A new resident joins the ranks! Today we welcome @ktckrx to the steam airwaves for her show ‘Mull it Over’. After Karcie was part of our DJ workshop back in 2024 and playing on steam during our stint in Stretford, we felt a residency was only right. Catch her on the second Friday of the month, every other month. This first edition… Blackpool! “Back on air with an afterglow of all things that made @theblacklights.uk one to remember, featuring tracks heard, Blackpool’s local talent and songs heard whilst sat by the pier. A silly mash up ramble to get you through your Friday afternoon.” Swipe for a selection of sweltering steam highlights across the day. Listen at www.steam-mcr.com

day to night board to floor with Disk Frisk sorcery Our return to the beloved inn Last time we were here there was a special energy, a lovely crowd of dubby grandmasters and humbledruids playing chess in this music sanctuary for the first time. After months of rumours and questions, we are ecstatic to announce our return with a chess club that morphs into a late night dance. After our last night here, Morey Cillar @moreycillar and R.E.D @sophieered_dj of @diskfrisk royalty blew us away with their mystical sounds. Deep downtempo obscurities, hypnotic rhythms and bellowing chords. We can’t wait to hear what they have to play to you on this long-awaited night.. Secure your tickets online, link in bio! 19:00-22:00 Chess Club (free) 22:00-03:00 Club night (tickets in bio) The Dub Techno Chess Club has open doors to all chess abilities. Mega bed, a rare occasion where AdomasLP and Tommy Cross join forces to lay down an array of dazzling, psychological and hedonistic fun. When they’re not running the Dub Techno Chess Club, you’ll hear them providing cosmic sounds on the Steam radio. Always looking to get spacey and dubby through deep percussive house and disco. Be sure to lend an ear to these felines closing the space tonight

June 12th is remembered as the day that Reagan told Gorbachev to “tear down this wall”, but if Ron were still with us in 2026 he’d be sending Gorby a more positive early summer message: “listen to steam radio cos they’re back broadcasting from OverDraught in Levenshulme”. We're relaunching tomorrow from a brand new studio in Levy’s finest boozer, with regular broadcasts every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Radio is live from 9am, pub opens at 3 and we'll be having a little dance from 7-midnight. Come along! 09:00-11:00 The Botanical Garden w/ gardenatrix gardenatrix takes us to lands botanical, showcasing music that takes direct inspiration from plants and the luscious outdoors, featuring some Levenshulme locals to celebrate Steam’s new home. Nestle into the branches of your favourite tree: this time is for nurturing your connection to the natural world. 11:00-13:00 The late morning snack show w/ AdomasLP Long serving late morning snacker Adomas LP returns to the airwaves with bags of culinary and audio treats. Dreamy, folky atmospherics likely giving way to livelier grooves for the afternoon. If it tastes good then stick it on the platter. 13:00-14:00 Babs Babs was too caught up in airport security and passport control queues to get a bio together in time, but may well have brainstormed show ideas on her flight back from [redacted]. Whatever it is, it’ll likely be good. 14:00-16:00 Girls with Claws Girls with Claws have one motto “We play what we want!” It will also be what YOU need! We are Miss Spent and The Pitch Wytch. Expect anything. You don’t know .. we don’t know. Tune in and find out. 16:00-17:00 The Secondary Circuit J. Dewar returns to The Secondary Circuit for his first solo show of 2026, moving through a discordant mix of industrial textures, dub mutations, and fractured experimental music. 17:00-18:00 Light Work w/ Burch Burch kicks off the first episode of his bi-monthly residency (and your Friday evening) with an hour of chug, balearic and disco. Then from 19:00 we’re having a little shindig in the pub! Residents til midnight - swipe right to the end for the full lineup. Free entry, see u there xx
