At times you just need to try things you have never done.
If you fail, you’ve grown.

110g Xucker Premium (regular sugar also works)
1 pinch of salt
150ml oil
250g flour

5. Whisk the butter milk and vanilla paste into the dough.

Nutella Star/ Stern ⭐️

1 pck dry yeast
10g sugar
50ml lukewarm milk
450g flour
50g sugar
1 pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla paste
80g butter
150ml butter milk
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 egg white
Ca. 3 big tbsp Nutella (or similar)

1. Activate the yeast by stirring the lukewarm milk, yeast and 10g sugar together. Let it rest.
2. Mix flour, leftover sugar, salt, butter, buttermilk, vanilla paste and egg white.
3. Add the activated yeast to the mixture and knead until well incorporated.
4. When the dough doesn’t stick to the bowl anymore, knead for about 10 mins. Add some flour if needed.
5. Cover your bowl and let the dough double rise at a warm place for an hour or more.
6. Divide the risen dough into 4 equal pieces. Then slightly heat the Nutella to make it more spreadable.
7. Roll out the first piece of dough creating a circle (use a plate or lid as guide). Lay it out on your baking sheet and spread a third of the Nutella into the circle avoiding about 2-3cm of the edge. Repeat until the last circle.
8. Cut into the stacked circle leaving the middle uncut. Use a glass or cup to assist.
9. Twist neighbouring pieces twice in opposite directions pressing the ends together.
10. Let the star rest for 10 mins. Then brush the egg white unto the star and bake at 180 degrees celsius for 25 mins.
