I got to meet the incredibly kind and wonderful @francescaa_nicolee today with my friend @tiffany.bai!! My favorite indie bookstore, @charmednboundbooks which is a romance only bookstore in Flemington, NJ hosted a book signing to celebrate Francesca’s debut novel, Have a Great Summer, which just came out in May. There was free coffee from Playa Bowls and we met and had such a great conversation with @adonnyyy who was so kind!!

HAGS is a beach read that takes place at the Jersey Shore and it’s so cool for that to be the backdrop and Francesca is from the area herself!! Her debut novel is a second chance romance between Lina, a columnist for a local paper, who writes about weddings and she is tasked with covering the wedding where the groom, Sebastian, broke her heart 15 summers ago. This is a dual timeline novel. I love this trope in rom-coms like 27 Dresses and The Wedding Planner so I’m really excited to see it executed in a romance novel. What’s so cool is that Francesca said these movies played a part in the writing process. She also said one of her favorite parts of the book is the friendship between Lina and her best friend. I love reading about female friendships!!

Francesca also gave us some teasers for her next novel which comes out in 2027!! It’s connected to HAGS and is enemies to lovers (my favorite trope!!!). It takes place in Hoboken since the FMC is a city girl!! I am immediately adding this to my 2027 TBR and I can’t wait to meet Francesca again next year for her next book tour!! It was so great to meet her and I loved talking to her!! She has a forever fan in me!! Also a shout out to her husband who was also super nice and took these pictures!!

I will definitely be posting my review of HAGS along with mine and Tiffany’s fan casts!!
