I am so in love with this boy! He is as easy as can be. Rhett is a gentle soul who needs a loving family. He is eight years old and has been at the shelter for a very long time. He walks very well on a leash, takes treats gently, will retrieve a ball and drop it for you and is a quiet boy. Seems interested in other dogs on the other side of the fence but we think he would be best with a lower energy dog, not a puppy that will jump all over him. His teeth have some wear. He loves his treats! He really connects with his person and will check on you when you are walking him. He is just an all-around fantastic boy who deserves a fantastic home. He has been at the Carlsbad Animal Shelter for a very long time and deserves a warm, comfy home to live out the rest of his life! He is available for adoption or Foster. If you are interested in fostering, please fill out a Foster application the San Diego county of animal services website. If you want to come in and meet them the shelters open daily for interact between 9:45 AM and 4:30 PM. They are closed on Wednesdays. Please I can share this message and help me find him a new home! #carlsbadcalifornia #adoptdontshop #adoptdogs #cutedogsofinstagram #carlsbadanimalservicessd

Lovely Snowball is very sad and needs a home. He is at the Carlsbad Animal Shelter in kennel 35. Snowball has a beautiful coat and lovely eyes. He is aloof at first, until he knows your safe- then he will sit next to you and enjoy being rubbed and brushed. He also joys belly rubs. Come and meet him at the Carlsbad Animal Shelter. Open every day except Wednesday. #carlsbadcalifornia #adoptdontshop #cutedogsofinstagram #carlsbadanimalservicessd #carlsbad

Lilo (F, 4 yo) and Magic (M, 2 yo) love games, and here they take turns with a Treat Puzzle at @pawsofcoronado ! While Sweet Lilo checks out every aspect of the puzzle and patiently works to get to the treats, feisty Magic jumps right in…and figures out that taking it apart is the quickest way to the treats!! Two dogs, same puzzle! Both Lilo and Magic love to train, and they will work with you tirelessly on ANYTHING…puzzles, commands, walking/running, playing, cuddling…you name it! If you are looking for an attentive, loving and loyal companion, then come meet Lilo and/or Magic at PAWS. They’re ready! Call (310) 710-4709, or apply online at PAWSofCoronado.org.

I’m a 4-month-old blue brindle mixed breed pup with a ton of personality packed into my medium-sized frame. I’m energetic, playful, and mischievous — basically, I’m ready to explore the world and have as much fun as possible along the way. I’m not neutered yet, but that’s coming soon, and I’m already showing what a smart, friendly boy I can be. Come meet me and let’s start an adventure together! 🎾✨

Sadie & Val, a sweet bonded pair at @pawsofcoronado , are our PAWS Pets of the Week! (Thank you @samobrienrealtor and @markobrienrealtor !) These 2 1/2 year old mixed breed girls are so sweet…they just need a little time to warm up and build some trust. Then, watch out…because their fun and goofy side comes out! This lovable pair would do so well in a quieter home with a secure yard and adopters willing to give them time to decompress, adjust and continue building their confidence. If that sounds like you, just call PAWS at (619)!435-8247, apply online at PAWSofCoronado.org, or come on down to visit these sweeties!

It’s been over 95 degrees in San Diego, so we asked some of our Pups at @pawsofcoronado about their favorite HEAT HACKS?
