POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This weeks Foamory Spotlight goes to @adrestia :D Along with the spotlight we want to get to know you, the cosplayer!

1) What you built?
Zinogre, Kirin, and Link

2) What products did you use?
Each costume had your 5mm EVA foam used! For Zinogre it was used for all of the little foam claws and the base for several pieces of armor. For Kirin it’s used for the collar and the red leg armor pieces and the “leather” arm buckles on the top of the gloves. And for Link I used it for the arm!

3) What did you like best about the products you used?
Your foam is super easy to use and a great density, it’s really durable and it’s CONSISTENT! I haven’t ever had a single flaw or problem with it.

4)What is your next build and is there any new technique you plan to use?
My next build is another monster hunter armor, the Guardian Odogaron! I’m hoping to try a new technique to make the foam armor look like stone!!

If you have used our products and would like to be featured in a future spotlight tag @thefoamory for a feature!

Be well, child. The Traveler is with you~

I can’t believe this cosplay came to life because I was inspired to start crocheting from a panel I attended at Edmonton expo in 2024 ( which funny enough, @gingemakesthings was one of the talented people talking at the panel ).

Thank you @sodapopcosplay @voidcryptoid @gingemakesthings and @mithril_cosplays for giving me Best Journeyman, I am so excited to see where this takes me and to apply the feedback that I was given, you guys ROCK!

Also a HUGE shoutout out to @wookiegirl75 and @pieces.cos for making the cosplay com run so smooth and for being so incredible <3 and a big big thank you to everyone behind the scenes. This comp would not be as fun and cool as it is without you guys and all that you do for us🤍

I’m so proud of everyone that walked the stage and I am so excited to have made so many friends backstage🤍 I was surrounded by endless talent all weekend

Calgary Expo 2026

What a busy and exhausting weekend, but in the best way possible. I had so much fun, and I want to thank all of the incredible people who made it memorable. I can't tag everyone, but even if you're not tagged here, know that you are what made the con great.

As a judge, I got to see such incredible craftsmanship, and I leave this convention incredibly inspired to create even more. Everyone brought incredible things to the contest and it was so enjoyable to see everything. Thank you for sharing your work with us.

I got the chance to debut a new cosplay 🧝‍♂️, gather my favourite character 🍂 in its own little meetup, collect and hand out badge ribbons 🎀 (I got 32!), say hello to old friends and make new ones 💕 and have an absolutely incredible time.

Here's to next year.

These cosplayers did not come empty-handed 🛠️
From massive blades and staffs to detailed armor builds, we've seen some seriously impressive prop work this weekend. Here are a few of the incredible cosplays we spotted around the show.

I had a lot of fun with friends and attending the super fun meetup. It’s not always easy for me to go out and do things like the due to mental health issues but I’m very proud of myself for making an effort ！！in the end it turned out great and I wish I could go back.

(I tried to tag as many people as I could I’m so sorry)

Welcome to my 2025 Convention Wrapped!!!

I went to many this year, had an absolute blast, and am looking forward to making even more memories next year!!

Calgary Expo: My favorite part was helping out backstage with the cosplay contest. I was moral support and kind of a handler and it felt great to help out like that. You'll see me there again.

Otafest: I only really went one day... The reason we were in town was to see the How to Train your Dragon symphony with my besties @pieces.cos and @thirteenelephantsinatrenchcoat AND THEN do our dnd campaign finale in person. Otafest also was happening this weekend so I snuck in a table at the cosplay "how it's made", which was really cool and I genuinely loved doing it.

Gamecon: we survived the fire of gamecon, took the iconic cosplayer fire parking lot selfie, and then I had my first shoot with @megansmarvelousphotography !!!
It was so much fun and I'm definitely booking her again :)

Animethon: This is always my chill con of the year. It's hot so I try and stay comfy, but I had fun with friends and made new friends, so I call that a win.

Edmonton Expo: My first time guesting at a con! It was so much fun and I learned so much!!! I met lots of new people once more, and got to volunteer backstage at the cosplay contest again, which was once again so incredible and fulfilling.

And that's my year in conventions wrapped!!
Absolutely inspired by @autumnscosplay for the idea :)

See y'all in 2026
