The people behind the music. The stories behind the cause. 🇻🇪🎶

RESILIENCE: A Night of Music for Rebuilding Venezuela was created as a way for our creative community to come together and use what we do best to support a cause that matters deeply to so many of us.

Now, we want to introduce the composers who are helping bring this night to life. Each composer featured has a unique connection to Venezuela and each has chosen to prepare a piece for this special evening.

Over the coming slides, you’ll hear directly from each composer about what Venezuela means to them. We are incredibly grateful to these composers for sharing their music, their stories and their talent in support of something that reaches far beyond the stage.

Swipe through to meet the composers behind the music and if you’d like to help support the cause, you can attend, donate, or share RESILIENCE with someone who may want to be part of it. 🫶🏼✨

🎟️ Tickets & More Information: LINK IN BIO 🔗 Every contribution helps support relief and long-term rebuilding efforts in Venezuela through our nonprofit partner, The House Project.

Some of Elik’s strongest connections to Venezuela are to things he can no longer return to in quite the same way. Cayo Pelón, a tiny island near Chichiriviche, has disappeared, but he can still picture its blue waters and remember the feel of white sand slipping through his fingers.

Years have passed since he last had warm pastelitos de jamón with a cold Rico Malt from his local panadería in Valencia, yet the taste comes back instantly. He listened to his uncle, godmother, and stepfather play piano and sing at family gatherings, while his grandfather woke the house on Sundays by blasting Shostakovich through the home stereo. His family may not have known how deeply those moments would shape his life in music. Far from Venezuela today, Elik carries the place with him through the sights, flavors, and music that made it home.

At five, Abiram joined El Sistema’s Núcleo San Agustín, a place that gave him some of his closest lifelong friendships and shaped his deepest beliefs about people

August, Part I. What a month. ❤️🪄

Feeling incredibly grateful for everything this month brought.

What a beautiful way to say goodbye to Gustavo, celebrating him in such a big way. What a joy to witness, up close, the incredible artistry of the musicians of the LA Phil and YOLA. And what a powerful thing to see an entire community of musicians come together to support Venezuela.

Thanks @gaudytrompeta for the invitation! So many beautiful people, so many different stories, so many moments I’ll carry with me.

🎶❤️

Thank you, August. More memories to come.
