I had the opportunity to accompany Sho, the son of Mr. Seiki Ryu, president of Ryugumi Co., Ltd., on his boxing training trip to the United States. 🇺🇸🥊

Sho looks up to world champion Anthony Olascuaga and Junto Nakatani, and he had a strong dream of coming to America to learn boxing.

This time, we trained at LA Boxing Gym in Los Angeles.

A huge thank you to Rudy, who has been a mentor to me since my fighting days, and to Daisuke for sharing their knowledge and experience.

One of the biggest highlights was that Sho got to meet his idol, Anthony Olascuaga. He even had the chance to put on the gloves and move around with him. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

For me personally, it was also an incredible trip. Learning from Rudy again reminded me of many things I had forgotten since retiring, while also giving me new ideas as a coach. It was a valuable reminder that there’s always more to learn.

I’m also deeply grateful to everyone in Los Angeles who has supported me since my professional career. It was great to reconnect with so many wonderful people.

Although I was only there for four days and two nights, every moment was meaningful.

Most of all, I hope this experience becomes a valuable stepping stone in Sho’s boxing journey. I’m excited to watch him chase his dreams.

Thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable trip possible. 🙏🥊

Junto took a chance at greatness and fought the #1 in the world. Came up short but showed he belongs with the very best.
Sold out the Tokyo Dome with 55,000 people and showed how great he really is.
Seeing how far you can go when you truly sacrifice and dedicate yourself inspired me to do the same.
Thank you, Junto, for always letting me be in your corner and experience moments like this with you. Sharing this meant a lot to me.
The story doesn’t end here.
Thank you for being the blueprint. I’m chasing that same greatness. We still have more to accomplish.
BIG BANG ALWAYS 💪🏽

Very grateful for the opportunity to be apart of Junto Nakatani’s camp against the Naoya Inoue. Training along side the champion for the biggest fight in Japanese boxing history was such a honor and I enjoyed every bit of it. I was able to spar against national level fighters and grew not just as a boxer but as a person. Very excited for the outcome on May 2 at the Tokyo dome🥊 #TEAMJUNTO
