A big Happy Birthday to Mr.Jim Henson.
Jim Henson was a huge influence to my life. Outside of loving both Sesame Street and Muppet show. It would be one day in 1982 that my sister @adrian021090 took her bratty brother to see The Dark Crystal.
I don’t I blinked once. It was at that very moment I know I wanted to create worlds! To entertain and inspire kids to use the power of their imagination. The way I was inspired by the masters.
I will forever be in debt to Jim Henson, Brain and Wendy Froud, Frank Oz and the amazing cast and crew of The Dark Crystal for inspiring me to be creative and daring in following my dreams.
If you look at my book Rock N Roll Brat and The Kids, you’ll see a Dark Crystal figure within the page. ;) Creating the universe of Super Group Go, was an idea I got from being a fan of movies like The Dark Crystal.
Where every creature, piece of land and sets were all built by hand.
Like many this movie had a lasting effect on me.
In my work space I have a photo of Henson to watch over my creative process.
His work was a huge influence, but let’s also celebrate his kindness to those around him and how he would encourage his crew to always try new and innovative methods.
I could go on for every, but you get the idea. Lol
