PROXYCO (Lower East Side, New York)
PROXYCO Gallery was established in 2017 by Alexandra Morris (b. Mexico City) and Laura Saenz (b. Bogotá) in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The contemporary art gallery presents and promotes emerging and mid-career artists primarily from Latin America, while framing their work within a global contemporary art dialogue. PROXYCO does not treat “Latin American” as a rigid label, but rather uses it as a fluid framework to center cultural heritage and global artistic perspectives on equal footing, emphasizing the rich diversity of artistic approaches from the region.

Artists on view:
Pablo Gómez Uribe
Sheroanawe Hakihiiwe
Michelle Pérez Kenderish
Adrián S. Bará
Diana Sofía Lozano

We’re excited to make our debut at the second edition of @loading.invitational next week, joining the vibrant energy of Art Week in Hudson.

Over the past few years, Hudson has become one of the Northeast’s most dynamic destinations for contemporary art, with galleries, artist-run spaces, institutions, and collectors converging throughout the city for a week of exhibitions, openings, and events. We’re thrilled to be part of the conversation and to present PROXYCO’s program alongside an inspiring group of galleries.

If you’ll be in the Hudson Valley next week, we hope you’ll stop by and say hello.
