Pinnacle Together is such a unique conference for our entire @pinnaclefertility network. We work on leadership skills, hear from inspirational speakers on how we can work on improving the core values of our mission, which is “fulfilling dreams by building families”, and get caught up on the state of our union. An added perk to the entire thing is that I genuinely enjoy who I work with within my own clinic, and across the network. This level of collaboration and emphasis for professional and personal growth is so unique and I am grateful to be a part of it.

FIGS RETREAT 𝒻𝒾𝓃: How special is it to look back at photos from weeks ago and feel it all over again—the joy, the peace, the love, the endless laughter until I cried, and the community that sang their hearts out to “Mr. Brightside” before gathering around the bonfire. 🥺🫶 In a profession that asks so much of us, @wearfigs gave us a space to slow down, connect, and simply be—a reminder that the people beside us are just as meaningful as the work we do. ✨ I left feeling recharged, inspired, and SO grateful for the conversations, new friendships, memories, and reminder of just how powerful community can be. It’s been just over a week since the @wearfigs retreat ended, and I’ve been trying to find the right words. 🤍 In 2016, FIGS sent me my first pair of Ceil Blue scrubs, just before I became a nurse. I never could have imagined that nearly a decade later, what started with a pair of scrubs would become so much more. Because somewhere along the way, FIGS stopped feeling like a partnership and started feeling like family. Over the years, I’ve watched FIGS bring together some of the most incredible humans in healthcare. But more importantly, I’ve watched them continuously show up for us. They’ve advocated for our mental health, fought for healthcare professionals to have a voice, created spaces for us to connect, and reminded us that the people taking care of everyone else deserve to be taken care of, too. That’s what has always made FIGS different. It has never just been about the scrubs. It’s about the people wearing them. Thank you, FIGS, from the bottom of my heart, for continuing to bring this community together, for allowing me to make some of my closest friends, for continuing to look after us, and for showing up for healthcare professionals in ways I never imagined a brand could. Piggybacking off of a reel by @adrianawongmd because this is just TOO important not to talk about. 🤍 This is a LONG video… but I promise it’s an important one. The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) has specific recommendations for when women with breast cancer should be offered genetic testing — and understanding these guidelines can be incredibly important, not just for the patient, but for their entire family. As a reproductive endocrinologist, I talk to women about their personal and family history all the time. Even though my patients are in my office trying to get pregnant, I have a unique opportunity during the reproductive years to take a detailed personal and family history and sometimes identify cancer risk that may otherwise go unrecognized. Genetic testing isn’t just about knowing your own risk. It can provide important information for your children, siblings, parents, and future generations. So yes… it’s a long one. 😅 But this is a conversation I really believe is worth having. Thank you @adrianawongmd for starting the conversation and breaking this down so beautifully. 🤍
