When I joined cross country four years ago I could’ve never possibly imagined where it would take me. When I joined it was just something to say I did, never something I ever expected to be good at, I couldn’t even run a mile at the time. Now I stand here with a 19:10 5k, 5:18 mile, and a distance pr of 13.5 miles. To say it’s been one of the best decisions of my life would be an understatement. This sport has given me a family and a place to belong. Through all the long miles, early mornings, and painful workouts, I never once regretted that decision. I’ve met so many amazing people who’ve impacted my life in so many amazing ways, both that I’ve trained with and competed against. Senior year may have been disappointing, to put so much work into something for it to all be tossed aside by a collapsed lung hurts more than almost anything, but I’ll never regret a second of the past four years this sport has given me. I guess that’s the end of the road for me for now, I’ll miss this sport.

“and the universe said everything you need is within you and the universe said you are stronger than you know” - The End Poem

The most eventful four years of my life is finally over, thank you to all of my teachers, coaches, friends, and family who got me through this, especially my mom for taking me all over until I could drive and always pushing me to be my best, you guys are the best. Most of all, all the glory goes to God, I couldn’t be here without His guidance ✝️. Student 294865 signing out
