The CEO of @churchilldowns is pausing a renovation project just shy of $1 Billion. We can’t talk about future upgrades on hold and ignore my favorite to win the @kentuckyderby. Who’s your pick?

Words cannot express how grateful our family is to continue honoring the 73+ plus lives our forever 18-year-old Giovanni Polleri saved & benefited.💙💚

For the past 5 years during Nat’l Donate Life Month, my dear friend Michael Kutcher & I have held a virtual event to raise awareness about organ donors & recipients and eliminate misconceptions. about organ donation.💙💚

Thanks to the generosity of my lovely cohost Sarah Yuhas-Shiltz, we were able to have an in-person live event yesterday. 💙💚

Michael (twin of Ashton Kutcher) shared his triumphant and medically ground-breaking story. He also emphasized the never ending support he has received from his beautiful wife, children, siblings, and parents! 💙💚

Thank you Lemuel Bradshaw for sharing your inspiring & remarkable story. 💙💚

Abundant thanks for the panelist comprised of Michael, Sarah, and nurse Erin Strong. The facts and candid Q & A session was invaluable. 💙💚

Thank you to the entire team at Austin Community College (Sky, Juan, Dr. M, just to name a few). Thank you to all the OPO’s, family, friends, & colleagues who shared this event with others, those who attended, & everyone who was there in spirit! 💙💚

Thank you for the sound of your incredible voice beautiful Rachel Druckenmiller. We could all feel your light! 💙💚

Thank you Adrienne Broaddus for covering Giovanni’s story 5 years ago. We shared your piece last night, and as always our hearts melted! You did such an incredible job sharing Giovanni’s story. His young legacy certainly lives on through your voice and gift of storytelling. 💙💚

Thank you Life-Source for making Gino’s gift of life possible! 💙💚

Last and certainly not least, thank you to my handsome hubby Roger for all of the hard work you put into making the event a success. 💙💚

Thursday night we continued the conversation on the Illinois Supreme Court overturning Jussie Smollett’s conviction.
This unanimous decision—with no dissent—focused on Smollett’s due process rights, not on whether he is innocent or guilty. The court emphasized that once an agreement is made and fulfilled, prosecutors cannot renege and pursue additional charges for the same incident.

Smollett’s attorney maintains that he upheld his end of the original agreement, and he continues to assert his innocence.

In Saginaw, Michigan, lawn signs reveal the high stakes. Barack Obama won Saginaw on his path to reelection in 2012. Donald Trump won in 2016. Joe Biden, by just 303 votes, flipped it back in 2020.

@adriennebroaddus talks with voters in this swing county.

Since August has ended, figured I’d get this #NABJ24 post off… (better late than never lol)

At this point, I’m a broken record…
Seeing friends that have become family!
Mentoring the next generation
Learning where the industry is
Our panel was a success after a few years off
Simply having fun
And being in one of my favorite cities again, Chicago

Grateful for a tireless protest team who capped a chaotic week with pizza &, thanks to our gadget-loving cameraman, a perfectly aerated cabernet.
