As we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy today, let’s reflect on progress made and acknowledge the ongoing journey toward equality and justice.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Tallahassee Branch NAACP Rev. C K Steele and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther Citywide Commemorative Service & Rally. Special thanks to @adnermarcelin and @broesq, my good brothers in the fight, as we stayed up late nights planning.

This weekend I had the privilege of being a delegate and volunteer at the Florida Democratic Party’s State Convention, in Orlando, and can affirmatively say that we, as a party, are organized, fired up, and ready to take back Florida!

During homecoming, I had the honor of serving as the Tallahassee Lead Coordinator for Black Youth Vote. In this role, I recruited Rattlers for the Florida Power of the Ballot - We Will Not Be Erased HBCU Bus Tour, organized in collaboration with the Florida Coalition on Black Civic Participation and other partners.

I'm deeply grateful to The Black Women Round Table and other partners for placing their trust in me, allowing me to do what I do best: ORGANIZE YOUNG PEOPLE. I had the privilege of selecting 6 ambassadors and recruiting 45 students to join us at the press conference and canvassing in Frenchtown, a historically black neighborhood in Tallahassee. We knocked on about 100 doors and we had fun while doing it!

Their engagement and excitement for change really made me excited because they could have been anywhere else.

The tour is still ongoing and will be present at the Florida Classic! If you're interested in volunteering or becoming an ambassador, please feel free to send a direct message.
