Still trying to process this. Out of so many amazing people who showed up with the same dream, I’m beyond grateful to have made it to the callbacks of the @centurytunasuperbods .

This journey has already taught me so much, that showing up, believing in yourself, and taking that first step can truly change everything. No matter what happens next, I’ll always be proud that I had the courage to try.

“Bakit ang bigat ng mga binubuhat mo? Akala ko ba bading ka?”

During the panel, they asked me: “For you, what is the hardest part of being a Superbod?”

I have many reasons why I auditioned for @centurytunasuperbods , but one of the biggest reasons is this:

Because I am gay.

And every single day, being gay isn’t always easy, especially in spaces like the gym, where strength is often measured by stereotypes. I’m not discreet, and I’m done letting people define what strength should look like.

For so long, people have assumed that being gay means being soft, weak, or less capable.

Yes, we can be soft.

But we are also powerful.

We are disciplined.

We are resilient.

Our strength doesn’t have to look straight to be real.

I lift heavy.
I show up.
I take up space.

And if I can deadlift heavy weight in 6-inch heels, then never mistake softness for weakness.

Strength has no gender. And courage has no stereotype.

One of the most beautiful and kind-hearted queens I’ve ever known, yet also one of the strongest women I have ever met.

You’re the kind of queen who values loyalty and always gives back to the people who stand by you. A queen who never forgets to be grateful, no matter how far you’ve come.

You’re someone people will always want to support because you genuinely deserve it. You can make everyone laugh in one moment, and when it’s time to be serious, you always rise to the occasion with grace and strength.

I am so proud of you. As a fellow breadwinner, I know how much it means to seize every opportunity for the people we love. Your journey has inspired me in so many ways.

This may be your farewell to pageantry, but one thing is certain, you’ve left a legacy. You made your mark, taught us countless lessons, and made all of us incredibly proud.

Thank you, Joy. I can’t wait to see all the bigger and better things waiting for you. Whatever path you choose, know that we’ll always be right behind you, cheering you on.
