Everything’s better with a British accent…including an OBIE Award! 🇬🇧🏆

Congratulations to @british_airways , @uncommon.creative.studio, OUTFRONT’s IRL Studios, @omd_worldwide, and @Omnicommedia on taking home Silver for Experiential & Immersive OOH at @yourOAAA’s 84th Annual OBIE Awards for Everything’s Better With a British Accent!

To build U.S. awareness of the many incredible British Airways’ destinations, the @mta S Shuttle between Grand Central & Times Square was transformed into an immersive, destination-inspired experience. The train exterior was wrapped to resemble a British Airways plane with passengers peering out of the window cutouts and all 6 cars were wrapped on the inside showing various destinations. QR codes featured as plane tickets led you learn how to enter to win tickets through a social media sweepstakes sharing your best British Accent on the wrapped subway. MTA platform announcements were made in different British accents and actual British Airways flight attendants came from JFK Airport to greet riders with in-flight snack boxes. Creators amplified the experience to let others know how to experience this destination media and how to enter the sweepstakes.

A brilliant example of how creative thinking and IRL media can make a lasting impression that is truly immersive.

Flower Market 3.0 by CJ Hendry was quite the experience. Beautiful new varieties of eternal plush flowers were there for the choosing.
It also afforded the opportunity to spend time with “line friends” and other CJ Hendry fans.

Some left with bouquets, others with their one complimentary flower. Everyone left with smiles.

Unfortunately inclement weather forced the termination of Flower Market’s tenure at Rockefeller Center. Apparently it will begin anew at an undetermined location October 16-18. Stay tuned to @cjhendry for details as they become available.

What was the longest hot dog in the world and is it currently in Times Square?

Well the Times Square hot dog is VERY long, but the world record holder is a real hot dog made in Paraguay that was approximately 669 feet long!

Let’s join forces with the @dinomitetwins and @adventurous_anders to learn more!

The storytelling and world building was so good. It's one of those movies that you genuinely need to watch in theatres to properly enjoy it. #moviepremiere

I still can’t believe I got to witness this.

Pokémon GO transformed Times Square into one giant live game for its 10th anniversary, bringing thousands of Trainers together for an exclusive Mega Mewtwo Unity Raid unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.

Watching the countdown, seeing everyone’s avatars take over the giant screens, and battling alongside thousands of other players in the middle of New York City was one of those moments you know you’ll never forget.

Huge thanks to @pokemongoapp for inviting Jack and me to be part of such an unforgettable night.
