No class this week, so let’s reminisce on the last session! 💜

Last Saturday, we drilled staple heels floorwork that were then incorporated into the routine. Knee spins, windmills, rolls are all moves that enable travel across the floor and require the correct weight placement and stability to be executed correctly and safely. My relief when everyone had their knee pads! An important item alongside your stilettos.

Last Saturday we went through exercises working on balance and emphasising the importance of maintaining straight legs in heels, unless choreographed otherwise. After a series of drills, we incorporated those intentions into a routine.

This Saturday, we will be focusing on floorwork! The irony of teaching ground work despite being elevated in our heels is not lost on me, but the floor is our friend and there is so much room to explore down there 🙂‍↕️

I would definitely recommend kneepads, as we will be working on spins and other tricks before learning a new routine. Trainers and barefoot welcome of course!
