Core memories☀️🌊⛱️

Still crazy to think I almost didn’t do track this year. Ending the season with 3 gold medals at district, area, and regionals that took us to state, breaking the school record 7 times, and placing 7th at state is something I never would’ve expected, and I’m just so thankful for everything this season gave me.

Addy, I’m so thankful for you and all the memories we made this season. From laughing nonstop to our random heart to hearts, I wouldn’t trade any of it. Getting to be part of the relay that helped you make it to state once again your senior year is something I’ll always remember. I’m sad you’re graduating, but I am so excited to see what amazing things you do in life.🩵

Jada, I’m gonna miss you and your fun, positive personality so much! Thank you for always being so sweet and supportive. Whether dying laughing or crying our eyes out I’m so glad I got to share this year with you and make all these memories together. Have such a great time at college🥹🩷

Coach Swinford, thank you for always believing in me and pushing me to run track this year even when I wasn’t sure about it. You’ve taught me so much, not just about track but about living life too. Being ACL tear buddies was definitely not part of the plan lol, but I’m forever grateful for all the support and encouragement you gave me. I’m gonna miss you so much, but I know you’re gonna do amazing things wherever you go.

And thank you God for letting me run again and for putting such amazing people in my life through this sport.

Gonna miss you, track 2026 🤍

STATE!!🪩✨🤩⚡️

This season didn’t unfold the way I thought I wanted it to… but now I understand it was never meant to. It was meant to shape me, break me in the ways I needed, and rebuild me into someone stronger in my faith, my mindset, and my heart.
There were moments I felt like I was giving everything I had and still falling short. Moments I questioned myself, moments I sat in silence wondering why things weren’t coming together. But even in all of that, God never left me. He was in every setback, every tear, every hard practice, every quiet prayer I didn’t even know how to say.
This season didn’t give me everything I wanted… but it gave me everything I needed. And I see that now more clearly than ever.
It gave me strength I didn’t know I had. It gave me patience when I wanted answers. It gave me faith when I couldn’t see results. And it gave me growth that goes so far beyond track. It changed who I am as a person.
14.22 at state… a PR. And somehow that number carries every ounce of this journey the pain, the perseverance, the doubt, and the becoming.

To coach Swinford… I truly don’t have the words. Five years of you pouring into me, believing in me, and seeing something in me that I couldn’t see in myself. You didn’t just coach me you built me. You shaped the athlete I am, but more importantly, the person I’m becoming.
You believed in me more than I ever believed in myself… even when I doubted everything, even when I wanted to quit, even when I couldn’t see a way forward. You never stopped. And I don’t think you’ll ever understand how much that means to me.
I’m not sure how I move forward without you in the same way… and that honestly hurts more than I can explain. But I know this with all my heart you are going to go on and do incredible things, because that’s who you are. And I will always be cheering for you the way you always cheered for me.

All glory to God for this entire season for the breaking, the building, the lessons I didn’t expect, and the growth I’ll carry forever. Even when I didn’t understand it, He was faithful through all of it.

“He will do it at the right time.” — Isaiah 60:22 🤍
And now I see… His timing was always perfect.
