Read this twice!

Have you ever had an idea of how you think you're supposed to act? Or what you think you're supposed to be doing? I have, and it's flat out exhausting.

This time last year, I was lost. I had absolutely no idea who I was... but I really, really, thought I did. I wasn't living authentically, and it was completely draining me of my energy. I felt like nobody understood the real me, and guess what? I was absolutely right. How could anybody understand the real me if I didn't? As soon as I started getting honest about who I am, and not who I think I should be, my life changed dramatically. Because now that I know who I really am, I also know what I really need. And once you know what you need, you can do anything you want.

A couple signs you aren't living authentically, could be
1. Feeling misunderstood.
2. Something about your life doesn't feel right.
3. Defining success by the opinion of others.

There's more signs then this, but if any of this resonates with you I invite you to check in with yourself. Get really quiet. Tune into who you are. Sometimes, the easiest way to do that can be figuring out who you're not.

And if you feel like you aren't being yourself, I invite you to not feel shame about it, but instead see this as an opportunity to get to know yourself! I guarantee you'll love the results.

🔹 There are parts inside of us that we like and we feel that they define us. 😃
Different ones for different people, for example, we may like to show ourselves strong, optimistic, honest, loyal, responsible, professional, hardworking, friendly, generous, resilient...

🔹 There are other parts of us that we don't like so much. We judge them, hide them in the basement and do our best to keep them out of sight. 😅

🔹 Today, I invite you to pay attention to those parts. 👀 To the impatient, the perfectionist, the inner critic, the authoritarian, the envious, the selfish, the jealous, the angry or the wounded 👀

🔹 I invite you to spend a little time with the one you are recognizing today. Without judging it.
I invite you to embrace that part of yoy. ♥️
I invite you to embrace yourself, just as you are being today, with your lights and your shadows. 🌖🌘

Have you ever experienced your shadow transmute into an immense flow of Love?
A release of incredible power when we have enough courage to feel fully in our body the current experience we are having? However uncomfortable it may be, however painful?
Transformation of pain into Love, of darkness into lightness, hell into heaven?

This Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse is about that. About Letting Go. Through Seeing, Acknowledging, Feeling.

There is no other way around it. It is about accepting fully every single "unacceptable" part of yourself from moment to moment. Which might not be even yours but something carried in the DNA inherited from the ancestors. Whatever is arising. However immoral it might be, however ugly, wrong. Just noticing, acknowledging, facing, loving and embracing it within the realms of sensations in your body. Because, frankly, how can you experience an abstract emotion like anger? But you do experience it in your body.

I call it the Warriors Path - because it does require self honesty, courage and ability to sit with the pain. To see your own violence, jealousy, aggression, inadequacy, shame. You need to be brave. But only through accepting it all in yourself, only through letting it flow in your body without turning away from it, you can transmute it into Love. Only through accepting it all in yourself you can start accepting it fully in others too.

In my life I had quite a few powerful experiences of alchemy of pain into Love, shadow into light and wisdom. What I discovered is that this pain, this darkness - is a huge resource. It is there to bring us back to ourselves. Through pain, through contrast, we feel life.

This quote came from an online course I did with @adyashanti.ogs called “The Philosophy of Enlightenment”,

where we, despite the title, dove well past the talking points of spirituality and deep into the practical application of these teachings.

“What does my life look like if what I am seeking is already here?”

I used to think a teacher or mentor would hand me the magic solution, or could fix what I felt was wrong.

But it was the best teachers I’ve ever had who redirected my search back to me.

I won’t always know, but if I’m open to listening and learning, to receiving and changing, then I trust I’ll come to know what’s meant for me, and what isn’t.

These lessons are still unfolding within and around me
& this is life as a forever student.
