We’re representing Alabama A&M in the A Different World Challenge with our own campus-inspired opening sequence using the official A Different World theme song. Our campus bell was only used to tell students what time of day it was. But what happens when it rings after hours, when the campus is quiet and no one is supposed to be there?

This project means so much to me, not only because I’m putting a fictional feel to my university’s history, but also because I’ve learned so much along the way. I hope you enjoy! 🤞🏿

Thank you to everyone who took part. We created something special!

The Diversity Council hosted its induction ceremony to celebrate one thing - our newest members! 🤩

In one year, 60 Diversity Council members met the requirements to volunteer or attend at least four events throughout the 2021-2022 school year. From Lunch n’ Learns to trivia nights to Taste of ELCA, these students are committed to educating, celebrating, and empowering one another as image-bearers of God. 🙌

Ms. Lee, the Director of Diversity, shared some nuggets of wisdom. “God qualifies the unqualified so be comfortable being uncomfortable” and “Do things that make you come alive. You have those passions for a reason.” 💯

Thank you for making this a memorable year! Who we are in Christ is the most important thing that defines us and by God’s grace, we will pursue unity because it is our strength. ✨

As an end of the semester celebration, the Diversity Council Board members decorated gingerbread houses! 🏠

Using half and half cartons and graham crackers, they had one hour to create their best designs in pairs of two. 🔥

Lots of leadership skills were used while eating and sharing memories together. ✨
