I still remember texting my coach after Nationals when I received the email saying I was an alternate for NAPF:

“Nothing may come out of this, but I was pretty stoked when I saw this email.”

30 minutes later, I had the official invite. 🇺🇸

Then, 10 days later, coach told me he had been asked to be part of the coaching staff.

I was BEYOND thrilled. It was officially game on. 🔥

Coming straight off Nationals with only a 9-week turnaround was no joke. This prep tested me mentally and physically, but in the end, every bit of it was worth it.

Honestly, this was one of my best preps. But of course, something had to give. Two weeks out, I had an issue with my lower back while squatting. We made adjustments, stayed smart, and kept moving forward.

The numbers on meet day may not have been exactly what I was hoping for, but I couldn't be happier with how I felt and how I competed.

The goal was never just about the numbers.
The goal was to show up as the best version of myself. And I can honestly say we did that on every level.

I had some fierce competition, and I am incredibly proud to come home with a BRONZE MEDAL. 🥉🇺🇸

@coachpatrickcarr — thank you for holding me to the same standards since the first day we started working together four years ago. 26 out of 27 white lights at my first international competition is something I refuse to overlook. Could I have competed without you there? Of course. But having my coach there, in my corner, made this experience so much more special. Four years of work together led us to that international platform, and that's something I'll never forget.

I'm already looking forward to getting back to work and seeing what's next. ❤️

@ronnieronnn — thank you for always answering my questions, keeping us informed throughout prep, and most importantly, putting together an absolute dream team of coaches. From weigh-in that morning to the warm-up room with @aedan_method and stepping onto the platform, everything ran like a well-oiled machine. As an athlete, being able to simply focus on lifting because you know you're being taken care of is priceless.

Despite the ups and downs of the week, 2026 NAPF will be a core memory for me.

This was my first time being a Head Coach for Team USA, and the lessons I learned and experience I gained from it has been ingrained into my brain. I’m already overwhelmed with the ideas in my mind of how I can improve and continue to find ways to be of service to the athletes that I get to work with.

Even though I would have liked to schedule more time to explore St. John’s a bit more than I did, and I wish I took more pictures, this may have been my favorite international competition I’ve coached at.

Time to head home for a week and then we are off to Junior Worlds.
