💚 Spartans Give Back This Tuesday! 💚

Giving Tuesday campaign supporting Haven House is officially underway through Tuesday, Dec. 2! ✨

This #GivingTuesday, we’re asking Spartan orgs to make an impact and help one family go from shelter to home. It takes $2,000 to re-house one family — and thanks to @med.msu, @aedmsu, and @msumedicraft, we’ve already raised $70 toward that goal! 🙌

We’re challenging all Spartan organizations to step up 💪 — start a fundraiser, rally your members, and help families like the Davis family, who found their way home thanks to Haven House. ❤️

🏆 The org that raises the most will get:
✨ A special shoutout on our socials
✨ The first-ever Spartans Give Back This Tuesday Certificate

Service, care, and a whole lot of Spartan spirit. ⚕️🇬🇹
The pre-health honor society Alpha Epsilon Delta from MSU turned their passion for healthcare into action during a medical campaign at #MaximoGuatemala. They reached hundreds of children, families, and elders across rural communities—assisting local doctors in patient consultations, delivering vital medications, providing deworming treatments, and distributing oral hygiene kits. 🩺🪥💊
From washing little hands and reading stories in village schools, to treating lice, teaching healthy habits, and supporting 135 medical evaluations, every day pushed them beyond the classroom and into real-world healthcare—all while building connections that transcended language and borders. 💚
To the AED Spartans and Morgan, their student leader, thank you for demonstrating what happens when future health professionals lead with knowledge, compassion, and a sense of community. The world is already brighter with you in it. 🌟

Let's talk POSTER PRESENTATIONS!
You might think they're just big pieces of paper, but they're actually a useful tool for sharing your research and connecting with other scientists like you!

✨ Share Your Science (Without the Stage Fright!): Posters let you show off your findings clearly and concisely. Plus, you can even share them online! Think less pressure than a full-on talk, more time to actually enjoy the conference.

🗣️ Real Talk, Real Feedback: Poster sessions are relaxed. You get to have one-on-one chats or small group discussions about your work. This means you can explain things in a way that makes sense and get some seriously valuable feedback.

🤝 Level Up Your Network: Posters are your secret weapon for meeting people in your field (and even related ones!). It's a great way to spark collaborations and get those new research ideas brewing.

🎯 Get to the Point: Turning your research into a poster forces you to focus on the most important stuff. It's all about those key takeaways!

👀 Make it Pop!: Posters are all about visuals! Think cool diagrams, charts, and images that make your research easy to understand and way more engaging.

💪 Boost Your Skills: Creating and presenting a poster helps you get better at explaining complicated stuff clearly and concisely.

So, next time you see a call for poster presentations, don't sleep on it.
It's a fantastic way to share your passion, connect with the community, and grow as a scientist.
You got this!
