How does an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) work? Let’s dive in and really understand how this amazing device and technology save lives. I have been working in this for a few weeks with my dad and getting insight from others. I want to help others learn how are bodies respond to medical emergencies, what happens and how AED’s are safe for anyone to use. I hope you enjoy it and want to learn more about how your body works and responds to a medical emergency with sudden cardiac arrest. Thank you for watching. #suddencardiacarrestsurvivor #be7hankful #cpr #aed #heart

A dear friend sent me this picture that @littlefreelibrary (location #55444) posted on FB. Who can help make more of these available in public spaces? I’ve got books covered! #NotTodaySCA #SuddenCardiacArrestAwareness #CHDWarrior #FamiliesWithHeart #HypertrophicCardiomyopathyAwareness #SaveStation #AEDsSaveLives

A memorable moment from the #HeartWalkSacramento2024… Just before ringing the “Survivor” bell at the end of our walk, my husband, my children and I met @aedoutdoors. Joe Ellis, is a #SURVIVOR of #SuddenCardiacArrest. He’s is a local parent, teacher, coach and mentor who more than understands the life saving benefits of having #AEDs available to everyone via accessibility. Joe survived #SCA while on the job. He was carrying the AED that saved his life: on his person! After a quick conversation, it became clear that Joe and @aedteam share my family’s and my passion to ensure access to AEDs, especially at ALL schools and (youth) sporting events. Want to find out how to save lives in your community too? Read about Joe, his story of survival and his collaboration with @aedteam here: @aedoutdoors.
