POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m back! For the art account, this is the first actual post in more than a year — the advent calendar reel only kinda counted since those weren’t full on dream comics and the dream sketches in stories barely count either 😅
As for the vinyl account I mostly took a break ‘cause I wasn’t a fan of how the algorithm has been this year and also I had been wanting to draw again. Making content for this account distracted me from actually getting started so maybe the algorithm frustration was a blessing in disguise 😅
Also please excuse me collabing this one, this turned into such a detailed one I felt everyone must have the chance to see it if the algorithm cooperates 😂😅
I’ll be back with more vinyl posts soon, I have a couple planned, but this comic took the whole couple weeks.

This comic was done in procreate using 50+ LAYERS! 😲🤯
It’s based on a dream I had last year around the summer about a gymnast randomly having an event at the mall and a dream friend inviting me to go. I picture it as the gymnast doing a flip over a fountain 😂
The idea to include Woolworth’s in the background was from an image my mom found from a mall in Ohio I used to go to.. it was an old photo probably from the 80s. I used to love Woolworth’s and since I couldn’t remember what stores were in the background of the dream I chose that one.. the other is Express which is a cool clothing store 😎
Swipe to see closeups of all details!

The Winter Olympics will be here on the 6th. What is your fav sport to watch? And have you ever seen an Olympian perform? I once saw Kristi Yamaguchi at the Galleria in Houston in the 90s ⛸️❄️🤸‍♂️✨

Beatles, 1962-1966 (Red Album)
Japanese press

My top vinyl come-up over the holidays is this beauty🥰❤️
My love for this compilation goes back decades and I enjoy every moment of it. This record has all the bells and whistles with posters and inserts included.😍

Thanks to @aekastar for being a bomb friend and letting me grab it from her❤️ I love the vinyl community so much, you guys are the best!🫶✨🎶💯

What’s your favorite Beatles song?

🎶🎶✨Close your eyes, and I’ll kiss you
Tomorrow, I’ll miss you
Remember, I’ll always be true

And then while I’m away
I’ll write home every day
And I’ll send all my loving to you

I’ll pretend that I’m kissing
The lips I am missing
And hope that my dreams will come true

And then while I’m away
I’ll write home every day
And I’ll send all my loving to you

All my loving, I will send to you
All my loving, darling, I’ll be true✨🎶🎶

Nena, Nena
Original release 1983

🎈Today I am sharing this sweet Japanese pressing of the Nena album we all know and love. It was originally released in 1983 but I do not read Japanese or German to be able to determine when this copy was pressed.

#3japanthursday is a new hashtag @aekastar Amber is starting but I was supposed to post three albums and I did not get that memo in time😹 Also, I am still in pajamas🥰

I wonder if @najdier would consider this a proper entry for #europopthursday with Nena being German🎈❤️

It’s a #WomenWhoRock #VinylBattleWednesday with the charming @vinylwife ! ⚔️ It’s been a while since I brough some ladies into the ring, so how about 10 of them? In the blue corner, I give you the Go-Go’s debut album, which climbed all the way to number 1 in 1982. 🩵 In the brown corner, I present The Bangles’ second album, which made it all the way to number 2 on the charts in 1986. 🤎 Both bands are from LA and they each feature 5 dynamite female musicians. But my questions is, which album do you choose? The Go-Go’s vs The Bangles - who wins this battle? 🤔

Sending this one out to a bunch of cool #VinylDames :

Guess who’s back with a new dream comic? 😲😁✨
All likes, comments, shares and saves appreciated. I caught up on everyone’s posts this past weekend so I hope the algorithm plays nice 😅😬
Collabing again on my vinyl account for exposure.. sorry vinyl friends who don’t follow my art account, I had to.. at least till I’m more consistent 😅
-
-
Anyway, the reason I stopped posting again is that for some reason I can’t draw simple w/o color or background and my carpal tunnel was flaring up off and on again. I also was creating more content for the vinyl account and couldn’t focus on two things clearly 😕
I missed drawing though and once I got over the hurdle of drawing that fireplace it was easy to get back to it! Maybe a little shaky with lack of practice but am satisfied with it.

The dream: I was sitting in a café I had never been to and realized the place was owned by a guy named Sweetums. As I looked at the place I felt a sense of calm and wanted to tell people about it. I did find it odd a fine china tea set was on display in front of the fireplace but it still was peaceful there despite its oddities.
-
-
Have you ever made up a character in a dream or been to a new place you wish to share with others?

Okay quick note: to those of you on my vinyl account, doing this ‘cause I abandoned my comic account and felt the only way for friends who like them to see would be to collab for at least the first post back. Well.. I did a baseball vinyl challenge in my last post so.. baseball comic now? 😂😅⚾️✨
All interaction appreciated, this comic took me 3 months with carpal tunnel to complete 😬
-
-
So I do dream comics.. this was a dream about me not knowing the difference between sports. I’m not that bad in real life but… semi-accurate when it comes to the details 😅
My dream didn’t have these characters though.. they were people. I changed it up so I could support @aoilittlestudio by joining her DTIYS #aoi3kdtiys 😊I hope this is okay 😅 I enjoyed trying my best to draw these.. I’m not the best at drawing animals so they look a little trippy 🤣🐰🐸🐩
The thing my dream self is standing on is a trailer step. I randomly had a trailer parked by the park next to a hill in the dream 😊🌸🌼🌿✨
-
-
So have you ever dreamt of sports? And what do you think? Pretty good for being slow at completing this? I’ll draw simpler things next up so I can draw more. Coloring is what really slows me down with my current aches and pains 😅

#meettheartist all likes, comments, shares, saves appreciated!
Okay I did a poll in stories last month asking what you wanted me to do for reaching 200 followers.. Meet The Artist won. I’ll do a DTIYS maybe for the next milestone if that happens one day 😂
And if the collab works.. for those on my vinyl account, I’m linking this post to both accounts ‘cause of the vinyl shown in the drawing and the mention of my fav albums, don’t worry I’m not transitioning this account to an art account, too 😅😊🎵✨👍
-
-
So this drawing made me want to pull out my hair from all the things I was trying to fix like adding ears after the fact.. hope my hair isn’t too wild.. had to erase and redraw near the ears and always freestyle it 😅💁🏻‍♀️
As for the style? Yeah surprisingly I don’t wear a purple sweater and jeans in real life or a black barrette. Somehow dream me transformed into that style for whenever clothes weren’t the focal point in a dream which is hardly ever 😂
I love to be comfortable so pj pants or the fancier ‘loungewear’ is what I enjoy wearing most the time 😊
-
-
The album in hand is In Rainbows but I forgot I have the 45 version.. pretend I have two copies 😅 it’s also a bit small vs my big head, pretend there’s a 10” version like some other Radiohead albums? 😅
-
-
The fav albums list is similar to what I put in my 10 albums for life reel earlier this year besides adding The Notwist and switching which Tindersticks album. Fun fact but I owned In Rainbows on vinyl before I had a turntable. I just listened to the cds in the box and displayed the set at the time 🎵✨
-
-
Hope you learned at least something new about me from this ❤️✨

I saw this reel at the account of @aekastar and take a look to my own discogs account to find out which records from my collection are really high priced. Fun fact, only 12" maxi singles from the good old '80s are in this top 5 😇. The first record from the 21 century in this list is Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite LP from 2010 ...

I am curious to see others too.

I took the median price for this top 5, because it represent the right value more exactly than the min or max.

Full credits to @aekastar ... I stolen the first pic from you 😚.

1. Nathaly Marion - Jennifer Planisphere (627 €)
2. Air Mail - Flash in your mind (525 €)
3. Patrol - Invisible (432 €)
4. California - Volerei (358 €)
5. Reale Accademia - She's mine (315 €)
