POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I'm not really a "collector" of many things, but over the years I've accumulated some posters and prints relating to some of my favorite bands. Thought I'd share some of them here. I have a second somewhat related collection that I'll share here later.

Yo can never go wrong with the classics 🥹

Just put up a ton of Sub Pop restocks, and we are fully loaded on Sunny Day Real Estate! Fun fact, this song was the first midwest emo song I ever heard lol.

Link in bio for these and much more! Thanks for the support!

One of my favorite albums from this century is THE MEADOWLANDS by The Wrens and these are two shirts from The Wrens that I have managed to pick up over the years. The first one was on an auction site some time ago and the second one (Tron) was directly from the band when they still had shirts and vinyl available. Neither available now and unfortunately the band has splintered as well, but both projects Car Colours and Aeon Station have been strong and will hopefully bring more music.

NFS. Looking for more in my size.

Seemingly easy songs can end up being frustratingly difficult. I never realized how hard it is to keep this simple Base-1-2-3 fingerpicking pattern going for nearly four minutes. But damn if this song isn’t beautiful! It certainly talks to me on several different levels. Life changes are not easy.

Aeon Station headlining the Lo-Fi Takes to The Street Festival in Jersey City last night. Still one of my favorite group of kick ass musicians I love to watch perform thirty years on! 🎶

Please join us virtually this Thursday, June 5 at 7pm when Tom Beaujour sits down with “Hoboken Jack” Silbert for our next episode of Hoboken Talks!

Born in Paris, France, Tom Beaujour grew up in New York City but called Hoboken home from April 1997 to August 2022. He was one of the first employees of James Mastro’s Guitar Bar and was married to Maria McKenna, a full-fledged Hoboken native, on the stage of Maxwells in 2001. The ceremony was performed, of course, by James Mastro.

Tom is a recording engineer and producer, and had two recording studios in town, including in the B room of Water Music, right across from the ShopRite!

Beaujour has worked with Hoboken’s Karyn Kuhl, Attacker, the Demolition String Band, Tammy Faye Starlight, Tim Foljahn, and the Royal Arctic Institute, as well as with Nada Surf, Guided by Voices, the Juliana Hatfield Three, Rye Coalition, Das Damen, and many others.

A lifelong guitarist, Beaujour performed at CBGB’s for the first time at the age of 15 and subsequently in groups like Shake Appeal, True Love and in a fictional band called Side Boob that appeared on two episodes of the Netflix series Orange is the New Black.

Beaujour currently plays with Sub Pop recording artists Aeon Station and with Valley Lodge, the band that wrote and performs the theme song for “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.” Finally, Beaujour co-hosts a guitar and comedy podcast called “Axe Lords” with the comedian Dave Hill and the luthier Cindy Hulej.

We can’t wait for this musical episode!
