Time trial Tuesday!

I’ve spent more head space than I care to admit about what kind of rider I am - and it wasn’t necessarily positive🙃.

So I am putting this here as a reminder to myself!

IRONMAN CHATTANOOGA- 8:58:39- 6TH/1342🚂🛤️

Sixth Overall and 1st🥇Age Group 18-24; for an 8:58 Ironman Debut ✅ In Tennessee. This race was incredible; and I truly loved my debut at the Ironman Distance. Had one last chance at a good strong swim this season and thankfully it finally came; 2.4 mile swim downstream in the Tennessee river; I held my technique strong and held on feet better than before🏊‍♂️.

🛣️The bike was 112 miles rolling on the US-27 TN Highway. Chattanooga is always hilly and this time it was the grown man’s distance. We had a stunning backdrop of mountains and I held a beautiful position courtesy of @aeroved_ and a beautiful engine courtesy of @betterwoodmanperformance 🚵‍♂️

Starting the Marathon 🏃‍♂️out of T2 at Ross’s landing was an awesome feeling. It was actually my first Marathon I had ever run despite my running pedigree. I was in twelfth place off the bike and the energy ⚡️of the commentators and fans was unlike any Triathlon I’ve ever been a part of. Quickly went to work and started off rolling for a Marathon off the bike; and then 4 miles in #1 ranked 🇬🇧Tom Western 🇬🇧 of Great Britain, who flew to do this race for a Kona slot, made a pass on me and I latched on. We ran stride for stride from miles 4-11 staring down the barrel of the marathon distance. 🏃‍♂️🏃🏻We crept on the leaders and painstakingly moved up to 5th and 6th place overall, until Tom finally dropped me😵, and I was left to buffer a controlled blow up on the massive 1500 feet of elevating rolling hills in the Marathon 🥵. It was getting REALLY rough, but I sailed through to a 8:58🔥. Winning my age group by 21 minutes, I qualified for Kona Hawaii🌺🏝️, but turned down my slot due to DPT commitments🙏🏼.

Very thankful to everyone for this beautiful season!

Racking my bike for IRONMAN Chattanooga in Tennessee 🚂🗻🛤️🌉 After a long summer of training and building fitness, I will get in the water for my first Full-Distance Ironman Triathlon in Tennessee.

5 months ago I was here for the 70.3 and racked my Cervelo for the last time; I prayed for the day I would get to use my gifts to race on a bike this nice. Months later and my life has changed; @aeroved_ and @betterwoodmanperformance have my @factorbikes_us looking outstanding… Thankful to use my gifts and be here ✝️🇻🇦🙏🏼

Ironman 70.3 Michigan🚢🌬️ (8thOA/1832) 4:09:30

Raced against some of the best amateurs in the country at Michigan’s premier Triathlon Up North🔊💯
Day started rough with a choppy swim and a minor Bike mechanical; costing me some time. Rallied💪🏼 to bring the race back together and catch up; pushed the back half of the ride back up to 26mph and then closed on the field with a 🔥1:16:20🔥 Run split for the Half Marathon off the bike, career best and one of the fastest run splits of the day. Went on the hunt to put myself back in the top ten and came away 10 minutes faster than last year on this course. Thank you to @betterwoodmanperformance @aeroved_ @infinitemultisport 🙏🏼NEVER GIVE UP! Glory to Christ Our Lord✝️🇻🇦

The race is great.
The community is even better.
Racing AND cheering on so many of our athletes is the cherry on top!

Between now & race day, we are going to drop some reminders, tips & tricks for tackling Michigan 70.3:

☑️ If you are in need of new equipment, today’s the day to handle that.
☑️ If you don’t have enough gels and drink mixes for race day, today’s the day to order.
☑️ If your bike needs a look over/tuneup, yesterday was the day to handle that, making today the 2nd best day.

Ironman training is hard but when you have good training sessions it makes it a little better. Totally wish I had done my bike fit @aeroved_ a long time ago. He made lots of adjustments and wow what a difference and found me some free power thanks Ved. Training sessions might not always go as planned or hoped but it’s showing grip and doing the best you can that counts and makes progress or at least I hope it will 🤞🏻🙏🏻 Kona build is in the works and to have received my team @nvdmcoaching race kit for World Championships just makes it more real that this is happening and that im actually going to Kona 🌺 still crazy. @mind.over.matter.athlete @guenergylabs @rawnutrition @raw.endurance @nerdscandy @macombfamilyymca @nuunhydration @infinitemultisport @theinfinitloop @thefeed #mindivermatterathlete #mindovermatteralpha @ironmanamericas #imwc2026
