Dear Little Braisha, 🌸🌈 I wish I could go back and tell little Braisha at Miller South, sitting there drawing still lifes and landscapes, “Girl, you have NO IDEA what God is going to do with those hands.” I wish I could go back to high school, when Tracy, Dana, and I were creating outfits for the talent show out of PILLOWCASES, and tell that little girl, “Keep creating. This is going somewhere.” I wish I could go back to college, to that girl who didn’t win Rock the Runway but still jumped down to introduce herself to the judges because she wanted to meet people, make connections, and be in the room. And tell her, “One day, baby. One day.” 🥹 I wish I could tell Braisha, who was working those overnight shifts at Forever 21, that the song “Great Works” wasn’t just a song. It was a reminder. You won’t be here always. You won’t always have to do this job. God has so much more in store for you than what you can see right now. And to Braisha living in Chicago, keep striving. Keep grinding. But baby, make it a HOLY HUSTLE. Let God lead every step. Your dreams were always bigger than you. And baby girl, you were NEVER too much. You weren’t extra. You weren’t doing the most. You were exactly who God created you to be. A flower child. A dreamer. A creative. A little girl who saw the world in the most beautiful, vibrant colors. When I tell y’all I dream in color, I mean that with my WHOLE heart. 🌈 Your wildest dreams WILL come true. And not always in the ways you imagined. Sometimes God will fulfill you in places you never even thought to look. This show meant more to me than even going to New York. And I don’t know if I can fully put into words why. But this show reminded me of what happens when you stop trying to figure everything out on your own and truly lean on God. When you trust Him with the gifts He’s placed inside of you and let Him show you what HE can do. —- FROM THE RUNWAY TO YOUR CLOSET! ✨ The dream is now yours to wear! Runway pieces are officially available to shop NOW! 🛍️💕 Link in BiO- or Dm me I got you Photographer for these pictures: @l2photosjland

I got emotional creating this post because it hit me… I was really there. 🥹 It may not have been the big Fashion Week extravaganza I imagined, but I presented my collection in Brooklyn, New York, during Fashion Week. And that’s still a BIG deal. Yesterday, I was feeling so blue. Like, “Why am I even doing this? I’m over it.” Today, watching this footage, I can see how far I’ve come—and how the Lord has carried me. He just keeps on keeping me. 🙏🏽 This is backstage at my New York Fashion Week show, before the dream walked the runway. Tomorrow, that dream comes home to Akron. 🤍 RUNWAY TO REALITY: THE HOMECOMING SHOW October 24 | ART x LOVE 35 S. Main St., Downtown Akron ✨ VIP begins at 6:15 PM ✨ General Admission begins at 7 PM ✨ Runway at 7:30 PM Tickets are still available and will also be sold at the door: $30 General Admission | $60 VIP. Feature Designer of Concrete Couture @kissedbybo (ohio) Braisha Owens-Mount is an Akron-based multidisciplinary artist, fashion designer, stylist, and creative director whose work lives at the intersection of wearable art, fashion, and lived experience. As the founder and creative force behind House of Bo and Kissed by BO, she approaches clothing as more than something to wear—using sculptural silhouettes, reconstructed denim, mixed-media construction, and one-of-one design to explore identity, purpose, faith, culture, and transformation. #runway #fashion #photooftheday #fyp #nyfw
