Milk and cookies week was sweet!! That technical was a test for sure….😬…but look at all the delicious and gorgeous creations from my very talented friends! My signature was a ginger peach cookie, with peaches three ways, and a roasted peach marscapone dip. What will next week bring? We’ll have to watch and find out, The Great Canadian Baking Show is on Sundays at 8pm on CBC and on demand on CBC Gem. @cbcbakingshow @cbcbakingshow I love how excited both Andrew and Alan are about cookies Angie and her adorable apple cookies I love that we get to share a few bts photos. The amount of working parts that it takes to put together a show like this is massive, and the crew is an incredible and warm group of professionals who do an amazing job. Thanks to each of them for making such a once in a lifetime experience so fun. And I am so glad you get a peek at a few of them here. Kami looking relaxed and ready to wow. Justine and her delicious and gorgeous signature Ahmad and Ann looking adorable, and in true Ahmad fashion, his bow tie matches Ann’s outfit. Of course it does. Team work! If you could smell Vandana’s cookies. Heavenly! BTS Slavomira and her gorgeous piping work Saul, focused on his out of this world display Who is star baker this week? 👀⭐️ More BTS. Ahmad, Bruno and Kyla sharing a smile My Milky Way was something I wanted to create with my niece in mind. Macie just turned 9, and she and I like to bake and decorate together. The idea was that the Milky Way was a white water rafting type of event. The riverbed is made of black cocoa and raspberry cookies sandwiched with raspberry jam, and stacked to create various heights, then covered with vanilla bean marshmallow. The stars, planets, astronaut, alien, rocket and spaceship were an orange hazelnut shortbread. It was fun to make, and hopefully, fun to eat!

Ten seasons, ten brand-new bakers, and one Chai-normous Cake Week! @cbcbakingshow is back for its milestone 10th season, and the Tent has never looked sweeter. A fresh batch of talented home bakers from across Canada arrive ready to prove they have what it takes to rise to the occasion, bringing big personalities, creative ideas and some serious baking ambitions along with them. And this season, there’s another reason to celebrate: The Baking Scraps are back! After hanging up their podcasting aprons and declaring themselves retired from regular episodes, Lisa and Cristina couldn’t stay away when Canada’s favourite baking show hit its tenth season. Just as they’ve done for the past two seasons, they’re back to recap all the highs, lows, triumphs, near-misses and game-changing decisions in the Tent. And as usual, they’ve brought reinforcements: the Fabulous Baker Boyz, Steven Levitt and Vincent Chan from Season 5 of The Great Canadian Baking Show. Together, the four bring their expert thoughts, insider perspectives and very strong opinions to every bake, wobble and buttercream emergency (and don’t forget the fashion!). What better way to kick off a decade of Canadian baking than with a classic Cake Week? Our recap airs TOMORROW, Tuesday, October 6th, at 4pm PST/7pm EST. @eatbakelovelady @thebakingscraps @vincent_chan_bakes @gratefulbaker243

Grateful for all the love for my nerd cake 🤓 Everyone sharing screenshots of my facial expressions are sending me 💀 So proud of you @sammysprinkless ♥️ My French toast cake: 4-layer vanilla sponge. Baked two 8-inch rounds and cut each in half. Brushed custard on the cut side, sprinkled some granulated sugar and pan fried each layer. Filling: Sweet and salty cornflake crunch with lots of milk powder and maple syrup. Underbaked cheesecake, baked at low temp for smooth consistency. Mascerated strawberries for a nutritious brekky 😉 See you Sunday for Milk & Cookies week! 🍪 Season 10 @cbcbakingshow airs Sundays at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT) on @cbc , and streaming on @cbcgem .
