MEDICS OF THE WORLD

"When I was about 3 years old, I had a sickness which almost took my life and I spent a lot of time in different hospitals. The amazing doctors and nurses in Ghana made me as comfortable as I could be. I remember they used to gift me meat pies and Fanta (the things you remember from childhood).

From that experience, I wanted to be that safe place for someone like me. As I grew up, I understood the magnitude of what that dream meant and how important it is to represent people out there who look like me. I also have a YouTube channel where I talk about studying medicine abroad, which has helped a lot of prospective students.
You can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/user/mizzafeeyah

Studying medicine in the UK is very competitive and there were so many disappointments along the way but thank God for the possibility of studying medicine abroad. I am still able to fulfil my dreams! If you want to study medicine abroad and you are still unsure, this is the sign you were waiting for - go for it!

This journey has been a roller-coaster but a blessing in so many ways. Living & studying in Bulgaria was a culture shock at the beginning, but I have cultivated a lovely community here. If you are looking to study abroad, your community will keep you sane because no one else can understand you fully unless they are in the same situation."

- Afeeyah, fifth year medical student at the Medical University of Pleven, Bulgaria.

International day at Pleven Medical University. ⁣⁣🌍
⁣⁣
A tradition created by students from all over the globe displaying their amazing cultures through dance, music and beautiful food. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We value the cultural diversity and richness that international students bring to universities. Offering each of us the opportunity to advocate, enrich ourselves and celebrate cultures that will translate into dialogues and actions between tomorrow’s future doctors. ⁣
