Tough Guys Don’t Dance. The rest of us haven’t stopped.

19 years since @highcontrastuk dropped an album that’s still finding new life - through drum covers, orchestral performances and a bootleg that became an official remix and anthem in its own right via @unglueddnb.

We’ve pulled together a few moments from across the years, including “Eternal Optimist” on DJ Hype’s 2007 Drum&BassArena mix, archival moments from sets at Hospitality and Let It Roll, plus High Contrast himself explaining that title back in September 2007.

Which track from the album means the most to you all these years later? 👇

Kind of a 360 moment for us having our little darling come on set and meet the bosses.. although he seemed fairly unimpressed 🫠

An epic few months shooting 24 episodes of Name that Tune for Fox US and 9 more for ITV in the UK

As always, an amazingly fun, and at times, challenging whirlwind 💜

On Saturday 30 May, we’ll be hosting our inaugural Drum Together festival at our Guildford campus.

Featuring masterclasses, play-alongs and live performances from the likes of @affygreen @vivavictoriaxoxo @billjdrums @puncturekit and Andy Leask, this is a unique opportunity for anyone considering studying drums at ACM to step into the world of ACM’s drum community and industry-led training.

You’ll learn from industry professionals, connect with fellow drummers, and enjoy giveaways from @tamauk @zildjiancompany @vicfirthuk @aquariandrumheads - making this an unmissable event for drum players and music enthusiasts alike.

Our wonderful team recording session for two more PPG3.0 tracks at the FAB Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) @amt_aru studios last week. Affy Green on Drums, Dave West on Bass with Graham Ebbs and me co-producing. First release coming soon! | Thanks to ARU and a fantastic group of students. 👏

Allways a pleasure working with @fleureast and her amazing band. Glad I had the big screen next to me could not see the stage without it

One pad, 16 sounds 🥁

Instead of memorizing a massive layout or “pad-hopping” across the SPD-SX PRO, you can stack up to 16 sounds in a sequence on a single pad.

Have you tried this?
