The easy 3km run that somehow turned into a tempo… 😂🏃‍♂️

But the legs were feeling strong, so I just went with it! 💪

Feeling really good now and even more excited for my first 10km on Sunday. 🔥

Who else is getting out for a run tonight? 👇

Intercounties done ☑️ U18 hammer champ. So pleased to finally get some consistency after a shaky few months. Really pleased with my throw sequence after a disruptive competition. Well done to all the other throwers and thanks to @throwssquadhead and @tomhead_ for all the help over the last few weeks. thanks @buddy_reid_ for coming to watch.

Standard pre-race kit lay. ✅

No PB chasing tomorrow. No heroics. Just getting out there, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying everything the Great North Run has to offer.

Proud to be representing Intractable Epilepsy along the way. 💚

Carbs loaded, kit ready, and an early night before an even earlier start. 💪🏻

🏃‍♂️ 7 WAYS RUNNING CAN HELP YOUR MENTAL HEALTH 🧠

Running isn’t a magic fix, and it doesn’t replace professional help, but it can be a really powerful tool to ease the burden of anybody suffering with mental health, or if you just need to take some time for yourself.

Here are 7 ways it can help 👇

1️⃣ Clears your head
Sometimes you just need to switch off from everything going on. Getting outside and moving can give you some much-needed headspace.

2️⃣ Improves your mood
Exercise can help reduce stress and boost your mood, leaving you feeling better than when you started.

3️⃣ Gives you a routine
Having something to get up and do can give your day structure, especially when you can’t help but have mental barriers in place.

4️⃣ Builds confidence
Every run is an achievement, even just getting out the door. Whether it’s your first kilometre or your fastest 5K, proving to yourself that you can do it feels good.

5️⃣ Helps you deal with stress
That time spent running can give you a chance to process things, release some tension and take a step away from whatever is stressing you.

6️⃣ Gets you connected
Running doesn’t have to be a solo sport. Running with friends, family or a group can help you feel less isolated.

7️⃣ Teaches you to keep showing up
Some runs will be great. Others will be slow, uncomfortable and hard. But learning to keep going anyway is a lesson that goes far beyond running.

❤️ You don’t have to run fast. You don’t have to run far.

Sometimes, simply putting your trainers on and getting out the door is the win.

Keep showing up. 🏃‍♂️💪

Big thanks to @aflytuk for sending me out this amazing training tee!

IF you are willing you are able .. don’t get in your own way.

I was ready yesterday, i’m ready today and i’ll be ready tomorrow. Forever ready, willing + able …

Let’s f**kin go .. forever. 🏆

I don’t know about you but just like the year to date i’m finishing it 100 mph too ..
