En cette fête nationale, on célèbre le bleu sous toutes ses formes.

Une couleur profondément liée à l’histoire du Québec, mais aussi une teinte intemporelle qui continue d’inspirer le design d’aujourd’hui.
Bonne Saint-Jean-Baptiste! 💙⚜️

Chapter II — I M P R I N T

-EXPOSED- series explores how perception is shaped over time ;the moments that leave a mark, and begin to influence the way we see and move through life.
For this second chapter, I worked through a dialogue between painting and makeup, building the look using mixed media, texture, and symbolic eye elements.

Everything was crafted by hand before being translated onto the skin, like emotional architecture taking form.

[ E X P O S E D ] — CHAPTER I :ORIGIN

•Photography: @christineturek
•Makeup, Hair & Art Direction: @afoussimua
•Model: @charlottewiggss @nextcanada
•
•
This series is a study of perception and of the experiences that shape us.
The ones that stay, the ones that transform, and the way they quietly influence how we move through the world.
Through a dialogue between my art practice (@afoussiart )and makeup, I worked with mixed media and sculptural elements to shape emotional architecture across each chapter.

Created in collaboration with the amazing @christineturek , whose approach to film portraiture holds space for gaze, silence, and raw human presence.

I kept coming back to one question while creating this body of work: how much of what we see is real, and how much is shaped by what we’ve lived?
