my next naked event is at @byasleon on friday, october 9th. it’s hard to put what @naked.mic is into words. what i usually say is it’s an open mic night that reclaims art as a spiritual and healing practice. it’s a space for community to practice vulnerability, intimacy, and curiosity with one another. i think it more than that though — something felt in that deep place where words can’t reach. naked. it much ritual than structure, with each one being shaped by the people who attend that night. at least, that’s what i think. if you’ve ever attended — how would you describe naked.? all art is welcome | link in bio for more info. 😘✌🏾 2 CHNL PSLY 📍 @byasleon 3 📸 @danieljameswoods_ 4 📍 @barzakh.cafe 5 @thee.dall 📸 @danieljameswoods_ 6 @theeetherglory 📍 @atelierartistbk 7 📍 @barzakh.cafe 8 @shakasis 📍 @byasleon 9 📍 @makemanifestbk 10 @sacrednesssoundhealing 📍 @intelligentmischief 11 📍 @byasleon 12 @akwasi.almighty 📍 @barzakh.cafe 13 @key2divinity 📸 @serge.fils 📍 @makemanifestbk 14 @hello.oshay 📍 @atelierartistbk #communityevents #brooklynartist #nycartists

Last week I received The Word 👏🏿👏🏿 from incredible black experimental electronic music artists during Dweller. This transmission Inspired me to start sharing the sounds I’ve been experimenting with and recording for the past few years. Here is one of those projects: Link in bio to listen to: DJ ON THE RADIO 00:00:00 (2022-2023) I created this by improvising with a LIVE RADIO SIGNAL. I play the radio through a drum machine and I braid that signal together with songs, samples, and sounds. I record/perform with whatever is playing at that moment, in that location. I recently started performing this for audiences. If you are curious about how this all comes together come to @beverlysnyc next Thursday March 5th for LETS UNIFY with @afroanarky DJ sets start at 9pm and I will do a radio performance before midnight ❤️
