Jeder Tag ist anders.

Auf meiner letzten Reise nach Tansania war es genauso mit den Schabrackenschakalen. An manchen Tagen haben wir keinen einzigen gesehen und dann plötzlich gefühlt fünf an einem Tag. 😄

Dabei gehören sie eigentlich zu den häufigsten Raubtieren im südlichen und östlichen Afrika. Trotzdem ist jede Begegnung anders. Mal huschen sie nur kurz durchs hohe Gras und mal sitzen sie plötzlich direkt vor dir auf der Straße wie hier. 📸

Genau das liebe ich an Natur. Du weißt einfach nie, was dich hinter der nächsten Kurve erwartet.

Every day is different.

It was exactly the same with black-backed jackals on my last trip to Tanzania. Some days we didn’t see a single one, and then suddenly it felt like we saw five in one day. 😄

They’re actually among the most common predators in southern and eastern Africa. Still, every encounter is different. Sometimes they just dart through the tall grass for a moment, and other times they’re suddenly sitting right in front of you on the road, just like this one. 📸

That’s exactly what I love about nature. You simply never know what’s waiting for you around the next corner.
