IT’S ALL ABOUT THE TEAM!

Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration Lt. Gen. Brandon Parker talks with Jake about the importance of being team-minded — and why being humble, credible and approachable matters.

He also shared with Silver Wings and Arnold Air Society the importance of being open to the experiences and opportunities that come your way. You never know where they might lead or what you’ll learn along the way.

Huge thank you to the @afa_air_space for supporting university students and allowing us to get first hand experience with executive leaders at the AFA Air, Space and Cyber Conference.

Here’s a look at the SW NAT STAFF intro video we made to kick off Executive Boards. It helps to start off with a couple of laughs before we move right into business and passing resolutions.

Huge shout out to @silverwings_eraudb and @afrotc157 for holding down the fort while our cadets/civilian students get to represent the soaring eagles at National Harbor, MD!! 🦅🦅🦅

We have more content on the way from our time at the @afa_air_space Air, Space, and Cyber Conference, but we have to get it cleared from the respective PA Director’s Offices. Can’t wait for you to see all the opportunities available in Silver Wings and Arnold Air Society!

As we celebrate the US Air Force's 79th birthday, today is also the 47th National POW/MIA Recognition Day. There are more than 81,000 US service members who remain missing in action, with over 38,000 estimated to be recoverable. Thank you to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1590 for hosting us for today's Missing Man ceremony.

You Are Not Forgotten 🇺🇸

Thank you to @afa_air_space , Ret. Col. Dr. Patrick Donley and the Doolittle Leadership Center for giving our students the opportunity to engage with Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. K. Wilsbach and Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force David Wolfe!

Our Silver Wings and Arnold Air Society students asked thoughtful, challenging questions on leadership, the future of AI, and multi-domain warfare, gaining valuable insights from senior Air Force leaders.

Silver Wings Region IV President Chase Norris and Arnold Air Society Region IV Commander Carson Degroat ask questions to the CSAF and CMSAF.

Silver Wings Region IV President Chase Norris asks CSAF and CMSAF who their most influential leader was in their early career.

CMSAF David R. Wolfe emphasized keeping and investing in important relationships, which includes your personal relationships, your relationship with the gym, your relationship with food, and your relationship with accomplishing hard things.

Doing hard things don’t feel good in the moment, but the reward at the end is more meaningful.

AAS Commander Nick Dungan and SW President Jimmy De Rugeriis posed with the CSAF and the CMSAF and presented them with our special joint AAS-SW coin.

Today, we held our annual Patriot Day Ceremony in remembrance of the 2,977 civilians, police officers, firefighters, and military personnel killed on September 11th, 2001, and the service members killed in the Global War on Terror.

Thank you to those who attended and helped set up flags on the detachment lawn.

For those who were lost, We Will Remember!
