Now as a mother myself, Mother’s Day always makes me reflect on all the women I grew up around, unconsciously learning from. I’ve been blessed with so many, more than most I think, and I’m thankful for them every day and aware how lucky I am to have the feeling of security that comes from that kind of love. Not only did I get an amazing mother who taught me how to love unconditionally and give my all to my family while still loving life through both happiness and struggles, but I also got countless aunts, cousins, and grandmothers who reinforced those same lessons. I’ve been surrounded by real, powerful love. By women who would do anything for their families. I’m so glad Paloma will get to know such a feeling❤️

Q1 in a nutshell: designing, sourcing, presenting, installing… and maybe a little bit of fun in between. Here’s a peek at what we’ve been up to; because it’s not all tile samples and floor plans and Google sheets.

There are so many photos that need to be posted of all the wonderful people who showed up — y’all are the best, THANK YOU FOR COMING 🩷

A beautiful combination of other artists’ work in my gallery for the first time (swipe to see who I featured for this), @hendricksgin, @milagrotequila, tons and tons of LK text, prints, an art raffle, good convos and kind people.

And obviously thank you to my M, everyone got to see how kind and lovable you are — & my sister, ilysm. May we all continue to be kind to one another because the world sure needs more of that — never underestimate how far a smile or a hello will go. Thank you again!

And thank you to @jonathancwardphoto for these beautiful photos 🪄

It’s wild to see, me and Afsoon’s kids, in the very kitchen where we started our dish washing careers and where they will hopefully soon take over one day.
