POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Welcome to our first round up since our historic double relegation into division 3. We continue to go from strength to strength, having now lost all four games this season. We want to make it absolutely clear that is not for the want of trying, just the sheer lack of quality needed to succeed in the ever evolving Goals Sheffield Monday night scene. During these worrying times, just don’t worry, it will be all gucci come the end of October 😎

Honestly, who knows where this season goes from here. With six more games to go, we know that we need to get our skates on and start bringing home some positive results in our battle to stay up. One week we were so light on numbers that we had to play an outfield foursome of Sean, Alex, Adam and Slutterbean for the whole 40 minutes…

There is some light at the end of tunnel though, as Glaves is hopefully due to return to the team following fucking us off for cricket. This is if he can beat his recurring dead leg injury, but we’re delighted to have our Gypsy King back 👑

In even better news, playing on Monday meant that none of the squad could be roped into watching our loyal sponsors (still yet to see any return for letting them have our primetime real estate front of shirt sponsorship) @widows_peak_official gig. Between that, retirement parties and darts league AGM’s, we were left very short on the goalkeeping front on Monday, but definitely worth the trade off 🤝

We were devastated on Monday after a close-but-no-cigar type performance against @hybrid_hurricanes_fc left @afwright21 foot looking like this. What makes it worse is that the HH player who did this to Alex didn’t even make himself known. Disgusting. We would have loved to have thanked him for his remarkable efforts in trying to take Alex out with Jake and Tom anxiously looking over their shoulders on the goal scoring charts! If this player would like to make themselves known, there’s a kebab waiting for you on us 🥙

You wouldn’t think it with how self-centred my photo dump is, but I’ve met so many amazing people in 2025. Completely grateful for all the new friends I’ve made as well my OG’s. I really need to start taking photos with you all!

As promised to make up for missing our two weekly catch-up, we’ve got another ‘Meat The Fan’ post to wet your appetites 🥙

From designing the clubs badge back when we were in our early days as a team, to being in a very rare club of players to have a 100% winning record, this good gentleman’s imprints are all over the club we all know and love today 🫆

Please meat one of AFC Donner Meat’s biggest supporters and the man behind our gorgeous badge, Mr Backwa… I mean Alex ‘hot mama’ Wrighty 👏👏

1. When did you start following the donners? From the day they started.

2. What’s your favourite thing about AFC Donner Meat? The Donner community, proper club with proper fans 😍

3. Who’s your favourite player and why? Nick… that goal (no money exchanged hands for this I promise).

4. Lamb donner or chicken donner? Chicken donner 🐓

5. Finally, what are your hopes and aspirations for goals Sheffields Monday night division 2 best donner meat inspired team? Look at the crest. The figure is calm and cool which the donners are under pressure. He is also holding a dangerous weapon, sticking danger into the opponent’s defence. These are the qualities I want to see from the donners 👊🏻

If you’d like to support Alex, his football badge designing page is @afw.designs and his calcium filled band @milk_float_ are headlining at official club sponsors @widows_peak_official upcoming gig at Sidney and Matilda on 12th October 📅

🚨 Deadline day announcement 🚨

Unfortunately, the club has had to pull out of a late deal to sign a new player, due to a lack of funds at the club. Despite Nick being paid back most of what he’s owed in subs, the club sadly couldn’t find any additional funding to make that deal with @afwright21 happen, despite @ads.nettleship2 and @finnfountainsimmons busking efforts outside Tesco. Alex was just demanding too much and we wouldn’t want to sacrifice @rodders3103 Mars bars or @twedz_ mashed potato allowances to get the deal done. Head of Finance @jntweaver99 can’t comment at this moment in time due to being on his 5 star holiday in India that he has definitely not borrowed club finances to fund.

This means that we’ve had to settle with the lads we’ve currently got. On the bright side, we were able to renegotiate @sean_hardwick19 contract before Weaver left on holiday and he is now on a ‘play once you fecking pay’ deal, so hopefully we’ll be in a better financial position to add reinforcements come January. In addition to that good news, we are also delighted that Harry Bryne’s image rights have finally been officially obtained after a long, hard legal battle with PlayBoy, so he can now feature on the clubs official channels (here he is after putting in a stellar performance earlier this evening 🤩).

Sorry that it’s not more, but as you know, we’ve never been about the big bucks here at AFC Donner Meat. We are never going to risk the club going under for the sake of greedy players and agents. But, thanks to our difficult decisions, we will be here for many years to come… without a pot to piss in, but by God at least we’ll all still be playing with smiles on our faces.

Don’t miss tomorrows double game week match review as we finished off our season in style 🥙

I may or may not have accidentally booked a taxi to a random Hungarian village late at night with no way back to the hotel this holiday…
