One year ago today, I took one of the biggest chances and did my first ever Voice Acting Audition for Max in @granitewavesseries ! A year later and I get to hear myself voicing him! I owe the biggest thank you to @tezeze_art, @agapalka_prod, @legendsofryuu, and the rest of the Granite Waves team for giving me the chance to live out my dream! This show means so much to me and has made a huge impact on my life, and I can't wait for you all to see it! To anyone who is wanting to get into voice acting, or who doesn't think they have a chance at a character/audition, please TAKE THAT CHANCE! I wouldn't be where I am with Voice Acting/my life if I didn't audition for this! Thank you to all who have supported me throughout this last year, I have made so many incredible friends and I appreciate you all! A HUGE thank you to @gokusagicosplay for supporting me and putting up with all my random voices and yelling while in the booth! 😆 I love you! I am so excited to work with these absolutely INCREDIBLE people, this cast is perfect! 🔥 @fightstik, @sarah_natochenny, @stunttrickster, @bvoicetalent, @robbiedangerous, @katie_wetch and @jennyyokobori #granitewaves #voiceacting #voiceactor #anime #onthisday

Growing up watching anime, it’s hard not to dream about voicing a fictional character one day. At Ryuu we break away from the chains of “Safe bets” of Disney, Sony or Netflix by choosing fresh indie and internet-born animated titles to fund, we also want to open doors for as much talent as possible. At the end of the day, casting is the creator’s choice (its director). But whenever we can help uncover exciting voice acting talent, we’ll support our creators in organizing auditions! In case you missed it: @infinitseries by @samhyeonsil is now looking for voices for their main characters, so fasten your seatbelts and get ready for the ride 😌 Also shoutout to some of the mentioned @granitewavesseries VAs! @maskedsaiyancosplay @stunttrickster @sarah_natochenny ❤️ & shoutout to other phenomenal VAs mentioned in the video: @allsaintsray @sarahruthvoice #va #anime #voiceacting #animation #oc

Ryuu started in a small bedroom in Pennsylvania, somewhere between reading the 147th chapter of Shaman King and binging Hazbin Hotel We gathered a bunch of professional nerds with an unhealthy love for anime, dragons, and 4 a.m. webcomic binges and started asking the inconvenient questions: why do so few legendary stories, authors, and artists make it into animation? who is gatekeeping these thousands of creators and millions of fans? and finally... can the gatekeepers be defeated? We will find out or bleed out trying. Welcome to Ryuu. #storytelling #ryuuapp #animation
