Tyra owner of @agapeinbloom is a Connecticut native and multi-hyphenate creative whose work now includes floral design for businesses, brand activations and intentional spaces. Her journey with flowers started in a deeply personal way the first arrangement she ever created for someone was for a funeral in December 2025. Since then, she’s continued building her own language through florals, using color, shape and composition to help tell a story. For her collaboration with The Hue Gallery, Tyra pulled inspiration directly from our identity, using our signature blue as the starting point and layering different shades of blue and white throughout the arrangement. #thehuegallery #blackart #floralart #hartfordhasit #artgallery

Someone commented “Build it and they will come” on my TikTok, and yesterday, I watched it come true. Familiar faces from past pop-ups showed up again. I stood there and shared my real dreams and real fears with the people who came through, and instead of walking away, they stayed. They believed. Alongside other young entrepreneurs who are building their own visions right next to mine, we put smiles on faces and created something that mattered, even if just for an afternoon. I’m proud of that. I’m grateful for that. Yet, I need to be honest: this has to exist, now more than ever, and I can’t build it alone. Meet Tyra founder of @agapeinbloom, a Connecticut native, Agape in Bloom began with a simple ritual: bringing home fresh flowers each week as an act of self-love and a way to invite warmth into her home. From there, floral design grew into a creative passion, and when friends started asking to buy her designs, she took the leap and made it official. Today, Agape in Bloom offers custom bouquets, arrangements, and event florals for gifts, celebrations, and everyday moments. In just five months, Agape in Bloom has bloomed into a name to watch - taking home People’s Choice at the 2026 Fine Art & Flowers exhibition at the Wadsworth Atheneum, partnering with major corporate clients like Live Nation, and earning a feature in the May issue of Evryday Blk Magazine. Tyra is also a certified yoga instructor and that mindfulness shows up in her work. She believes in the importance of intentionality and being fully present in our experiences.
