Hey it’s that video that went viral on Twitter that I shot! This was from Saturday’s MAGA rally/anti-quarantine protest at the Capitol building in Sacramento.

Let me make it clear that I would never condone violence towards a group of people based on race however, we can see explicit white privileged and obvious police behavior in favor of them. Why is it when immigrants and allies, black people and allies, undocumented and allies, LGBQT and allies and all other communities and allies peacefully protest for their livelihood and core human rights we and they are met with tear gas, violence, rubber bullets and even death. But, when white people protest for a hair cut and use Nazi symbols and confederate flags and arm themselves on capital hill they come out just fine. I thought they were pro life but they’re out here ready to risk vulnerable family members for a haircut. Is this the equivalent of white feminism but in the form of white protesters? I have to laugh at them because they really think this is their own little civil rights movement. I am reminded of the double standards and of white privilege every day but I’ve never seen it so clear. (Obviously there are white people who are respecting the stay at home order and no not agree with this and are allies, so obviously this does not apply). #veryangryLatinx
