Recovery isn’t about going back to who you were before addiction.

For some of us, addiction started before we even
had the chance to fully know ourselves.

So recovery becomes both a return and a discovery.

Reclaiming what was disconnected.

Developing what never had the chance to develop.

Building a relationship with yourself that never existed before.

Little by little, more of you becomes available.

Not the old you.
More of you.

That’s the recovery of self.

Some people you meet and forget. Others you meet and immediately recognize a connection that feels like you’ve known them for years.

@mikethesituation is one of those rare people.

Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Mike at @aiminghighorg, a charity event hosted by my dear friend and business partner @agent_dp

Less than a week later, I found myself sitting down with Mike and his incredible team at @thearchangelcenters, discussing business, life, growth, and the power of second chances.

For nearly two decades, we’ve watched Mike’s journey unfold publicly. The highs. The setbacks. The lessons. And ultimately, the transformation.

What impressed me most wasn’t his celebrity or his success. It was his perspective on life, his commitment to helping others, and the purpose he’s building around his own experiences.

Character often reveals itself in the smallest moments.

As we were leaving lunch, a woman approached Mike for an autograph. Without hesitation, he not only obliged but offered to take a picture with her. A simple gesture, but one that spoke volumes.

My journey through martial arts, business, and investing has taught me that who someone becomes through adversity matters far more than where they started.

Mike’s story is a powerful example of that principle.

I walked away from our meeting with genuine respect for the man, his mission, and the possibilities ahead.

He also graciously signed and personalized a copy of his New York Times bestselling book, *Reality Check*. And Mike, I’m keeping my word. I’m starting it now.

Looking forward to continuing our conversations and exploring what we might build together.

Success is meaningful. Transformation is powerful. But using both to serve others is where real impact begins.

Thank you, Mike, and your team, for the hospitality and a memorable experience.

Still feeling incredibly grateful after such a special night with @aiminghighorg 🪽

The Aiming High Gala brought together so many people who share one thing in common: a genuine desire to make an impact in the lives of others.

For our Archangel team, being in a room surrounded by that kind of generosity and community was something special. To have our mission recognized and supported by the Aiming High Foundation makes it even more meaningful.

Thank you again for honoring us and supporting our mission.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come this past year and even more excited about how many lives we still have the opportunity to reach.

An incredible night surrounded by people committed to making a difference. 🙏🏻

We were honored to attend the Aiming High Foundation Gala last night and are incredibly grateful to @aiminghighorg for their generous donation to Archangel Centers and their support of the work we’re doing in the recovery community.

Every contribution helps us continue expanding resources, supporting individuals and families, and creating more opportunities for people to access the care they need to build a life in recovery.

Thank you to the entire Aiming High team for a beautiful evening, for your generosity, and most importantly, for believing in our mission. We’re grateful to have you in our corner. 🤝🏻

What an incredible night. @thearchangelcenters ownership team had the honor of attending @agent_dp @aiminghighorg Foundation Gala, where we were presented with a $10,000 check for a scholarship through Christopher’s Bed. We are so grateful to receive this donation and to be recognized for the amazing work our team is doing!

What inspired me most was the room itself! People from across the globe coming together and using their platform for something bigger than themselves. This is what life is all about. Turning our past into purpose and coming together for the greater good. What an incredible and inspiring event. 🙏❤️ @seanrcallagy @dominiquewilkins21 @mikethesituation

Amazing evening at the @aiminghighorg gala last night. Had the honor of doing a LIVE painting of HOF @dominiquewilkins21 that was auctioned off raising 40k for the foundation. Absolutely phenomenal. Special thanks to @agent_dp for having me and for @janebeup the executive director who makes it all happen and @kar.de.dish for all she does behind the scenes!

Darren Prince is a rock star and his aiminghighfoundation.org is saving the lives of so many kids and adults trying to get off of drugs and alcohol. It's coming up on the end of the year, and this would be a great place for you to make a donation.
When I leave town. Denice always reminds me to use the nose hair rake and since she wasn't with me this time, I thought I'd do a little video to show you all and her that I am an obedient man.

What does sustainable giving really mean? ❤️
It’s more than supporting a great cause. It’s about making sure resources are used effectively and, most importantly, creating opportunities that help people rise so they can give back and create even more positive impact.

I’m honored to be part of the upcoming Aiming High Foundation Gala and incredibly grateful to Darren Prince for the work he continues to do to help people overcome addiction and access life changing recovery resources.

I’m also grateful to Andrew Sossin, Riley Osborne, and the entire Recovery Unplugged team for the incredible work you’re doing and for the impact this partnership is creating.

As we rise in our own abundance, we have the opportunity to help others rise too.

That’s what sustainable giving is all about.
